sell sissoko, and moura instead please

I do agree with this, generally. Dele is still really young, and I think with Sissoko, Moura and Lamela, they are what they are. But, any 2 of those could raise some decent funds, and if we are still able to reinvest in the squad with that money, I’d love to see it go to an Uber creative type like Dominik Szoboszlai. If there’s money left over from those sales, Use whatever money we get from some of our surplus defenders to pay for Dias, if thats even in the realm of possibility.

so, basically let’s sell a Handful of players and buy 3 more before this window shuts. It’s time to act, Daniel!

dele was fantastic alongside a fit kane last year. It would be ridiculous to sell him. Im worried we need the money but genrally would rather sell some squad players than one with the potential to be a starter.

Don't want to see him sold but with the noises from inter suggesting Eriksen is available and that Conte admires Dele...if you had to chose, who would you prefer if a swap deal was possible?

And Dele is?
My onions. But Dele is badly out of form. There’s still plenty of opportunity for him to turn it around. Eriksen has been poor for almost three years now despite his new contract and change of scenery, and in my opinion he’s done at an elite level. People here were so eager to be angry at him for “not caring” they never really stopped to consider that maybe injuries and exhaustion had just caught up to him and he is no longer capable of what he could do five years ago.

Almost three years? Jesus wept. 18/19 and 17/18 he got 20 combined goals and assists both times (8-12 and 10-10 respectively).

We'll play 60+ matches. Injuries will happen. Would be shocked if Dele didn't get at least 30 starts and an additional 15-20 sub appearances in all competitions this season.
I agree that he'll make a decent number of appearances, even if he isn't part of Mourinho's preferred XI. However, to say you'll be shocked if he doesn't play in "at least" 20% more games than he has in either of the two previous seasons is probably going a bit far. The most he has ever played in a season is 50 games (the top end of your "at least" bracket).

I would say 35-40 appearances (starts & sub) is much more realistic than "at least" 45-50.

He's not completely wrong - it's 3 years since he played an entire season in a second striker role and scored 22 goals. He was "not the same" after that, but it was down to the manager's tactics and his role within the team. :p

So would I but we have to balance the HG non HG quota. IMO, Sissoko, Lucas and Lamela are prime candidates for upgrades.
Sissoko and Lucas will still be starting games regularly (just probably less often than in the past). For me, that leaves Lamela as the most prime candidate for upgrade, of those three.

I'd say Aurier (no longer first choice and unlikely to improve), Gazzaniga (3rd choice GK) and Foyth should all be considered prime candidates too.

From media speculation, it seems Aurier is the only one we've been actively trying to move on, but perhaps that will change as further signings are confirmed.
