Scary to think how good this guy can be. His ceiling and potential is like I’ve never seen for a LB. Only 20 and pocketed two of the best wide men in world football! Cant wait to see more.

Good that the club is behind him. Also put pressure on the social media sites to do something about this. Online abuse is not ok. Disgusting pathetic cowards writing those messages.

That being said if I was a pro footballer I’d not bother having social media but I know that generation love it to each to their own and if they want to use it they should be able to without be abused!
I feel there needs to be an official club social media set up for players and fans to connect. If you want to connect you have to register with ID and be a club member (free to join) to send messages to our players. That way if you send anything abusive you get banned for life and can't register again. How I would love for a major club to pull down their social media pages and stop feeding these companies. We just go round in the same circles with this shit because they don't care. As long as they are getting hits they're making money.

how in earth could that be possible? A group of Mod Train enthusiasts on FB banned from taking about football?
The SM colonies simply need to block any sick use of racism or offensive language and be fined each time it slips through their non existent nets.

Didn't say anything about banned from talking about football. Odd reply to what I put.

Nothing ever gets done because these social media companies continue to allow it. The trolling is so obvious.
I reported a vile racist comment on Instagram made against him and I’ve just had a report back saying the comment wasn’t removed as it didn’t go against their community guidelines. These companies need to do more.

I won't be surprised that bots are doing the customer service and replying some template responses.

Sent in a shitload of reports yesterday night as well. All of them didn't go against their guidelines.

Apols. Misunderstood

I wouldn’t expect anyone to sign up to approved channels would partake in the racism hence it’s not going to address the problem.

Well that's kind of the point, our own channels will keep the racists etc out. The problem is that people will post racism online. It's just going to happen whether it's social media or whatever. That wont go away but I would prefer they didn't post them aimed at the players for them to see. Let them post among themselves all they like, I mean people can just post racist shit over WhatsApp or some random forums anyway. I would rather just ignore them because all they want is attention. Take more control over the content the players are exposed too. We can control it within the stadium these days if someone says something racist at a match. It should be possible to create a space where we also control the content players post and receive online. This has gone on since X and Facebook have been around, nothing ever changes unless we stop using them and create something that we govern ourselves.

I have yet to see him not be able to run someone down. I think he’s getting his positioning just fine.
He’s so quick he could recover but I think he gets driven back a tiny bit too much for my liking. I am nit picking though… he is absolutely superb.

It's disgusting and one of many reasons I hate social media (it was disgusting before social media but you know what I mean)

Part of me also wishes that when putting these statements out (let's be honest sadly it'll probably happen again this season to someone else) when they put a copy out on twitter etc the club should be tagging them to do more! I know amongst twitter followers Spurs aren't the biggest out there but at some point it'll happen to a the biggest and I'd love there just be a coordinated mass profile deletion or something.

Sadly Elron and zuckerborg are under developed toss-mongers who only care about how they make yet more money out of data mining/manipulating governments!

It's a pretty standard response in all honesty. Funny they don't show the same passion in their comments about racism compared to a decision that didn't go their way.

To be fair, they are directly responding to the Tottenham statement. I don’t see an issue with it if they are taking it as seriously as they say.

The above is our message, which quoted the Sheffield United tweet, a couple of weeks ago. The difference compared to the generic Liverpool statement is stark. They don't even acknowledge that the abuse could have come from their fan base. And that's typical of Liverpool if you look at their behaviour over the years. There is a massive difference between the tweets which illustrates the difference between most clubs and Liverpool.
