We can rest Udogie. Davies is dependable enough to do a job against Palace without their best players. Plus Davies is quite good at the underlapping runs too and defensive side. I'm not worried about him at all.

We need to play our best team. Take the points we can take; there are no 'easy wins' in the PL, at least for a squad of our quality. It's not right to take anyone lightly.

We’re not taking anyone lightly, Davies is a professional footballer that can do a decent job for us. If we cant get a result against Palace because we’re missing our first choice left back then we’ve got no chance of top four.

Its not taking anyone lightly.

There's obviously a reason if the manager doesnt start him.

Only Ange and his team are privy to his condition and if they feel its the right call to give him more recovery and start Davies, so be it.

We all want a 100% fit Undgie to start but you cant risk an injury if a player isn't right or fatigued.

I think Ben Davies is one of the greatest players in the world but even I don’t think he’s going to be troubling Udogie anytime soon so if he starts against Palace we know Udogie isn’t match fit/not worth risking him and making it worse by playing him in the short term.

Its like peoole think Agne wouldnt start Udogie because he wants a wee tinker with the team lol

Happy if he’s on the bench; and Davies starts… gotta accept it’s not our preference but I don’t think anyone would’ve predicted just how good Udogie has been … he’s an individual I follow throughout each game. Becoming a real favourite of mine

He's young and has had a busy international break, let the lad rest and bring him slowly up to speed over the next week.

Plus our first choice left back isn’t 100% fit meaning playing Davies tomorrow would indicate playing our strongest available 11 . .. if Destiny is 100% then start him .

Quite although i'd say it's more the drop in quality replacement that concerns us - much like the majority of the back 5.

I like Royal, but not on the left side.
Nail. Head Hit.

loving our new first 11 editions. But the problem is the dier Davies issue. We ran Kane into the floor at times let’s not let playing once a week hide the depth issue

Should definitely play if fit enough, even if Davies can come in a do a decent job.

We need to give ourselves the best chance to win the game and having Udogie in the side over Davies does that.

We also have to give ourselves the best chance to win this season - and that will occasionally mean resting players who have been in our best XI.

It’s a long year, and many games still to go. Managing players through the season is just part of the process.

I trust Ange to find the right balance.

🤣 He will play the best team he is able to, from the outset - that he can afford to play. Whatever that may be.

If Udogie can't play then we can deploy our next best option.; if Davies is that player then so be it. I've not seen him play CM though.

I don't think we will get top 4. I think you are getting carried away by our good run of results.

He will get 8-9 days rest after the game before Chelsea. Surely we play him then give him few more recovery days off in prep for Chelsea.

Same, Royal as cover for Porro is as good as you’ll get but he’s not a LB and it’ll be unfair on him if he plays there and does badly and gets stick for it.

Id rather Davies play there in this game but it’s certainly an area of squad weakness for us
