Think most are getting a bit ahead of themselves thinking we’re moving on to other targets. It’s likely to happen and Spence’s side will begin putting more pressure on Boro to ensure he gets on the plane.
That being said, I wouldn’t imagine Conte would be too disappointed if we went for a different target.

Their ITK guy is adamant it’s all agreed, even doubling down on the announcement will be tomorrow and then their own business can begin.

Of all the players linked Spence was the one I was least excited about. I like his physique and his athleticism but he seems to really lack on the technical side which ironically is what people moan most about with Emerson. Technically gifted wing backs is what makes contes system thrive.

I do understand it from a HG perspective though and also the fact that he will improve under conte and is young. Could potentially be the next Walker it's just I'd personally prefer a more complete player right now.

Completely agree. We are 1 injury away from just Lucas off the bench , we 100% need a decent 6th attacking option, UNLESS the plan is Perisic can cover if needed and we will therefore be keeping Reggi & Sess so if that happens we aren’t short at LWB.

In an ideal world we bring in a Maddison type who can play in a midfield 3 or as one of the tucked in n.o10’s.

But this is the Spence thread so back to that and let’s hope this gets done very soon so he can join up with Korea. ?

Hopefully this is just some final posturing from Gibson, and we get it over the line. I’m not sold on Spence mind, but he’s affordable (relative to others, such as Singo), HG, and has the physical attributes to be a success in the Prem.

I still see Doherty as our starting RWB, which pleases me because he was very good in the second half of the season prior to the asshat named Matty Cash injuring him.

Could be posturing from us rather than Gibson. Maybe we're putting word out that we're moving on to put pressure on them to accept. It could explain why Boro ITK think it's happening, maybe they know their end they will accept our offer.

Yes also had a look, apparently Spense wasn't at training today. They are debating if it will be Spence or Johnson that is gone 1st, so from their end it looks done. To be honest, if its not done tomorrow then I hope our ITk about us moving on is correct.

Just skimmed through the forum myself and looks like the peasants are on the verge of revolting against the ITK if incorrect ?

Lots of reputations in tatters here this evening as Spence still not sold despite definitive assurances from forum members that he would be. T-Cider came and went like a firework, dazzling us with his beauty but fizzling out all too soon. Diggerlad is desperately trying to repair his reputation with the outrageous suggestion that Spence wasn't at training today, and we wanted two strikers signed sooner rather than later. Mungosmam or whatever she's called running out of things to take guesses about.
