Missed him yesterday. Hes exactly the type of player we could have used last night to slow the game down and hold the ball higher up the pitch for us.

Still no idea of when he'll be back, will be ridiculous to see the amount of games he's missed since he's been at the club.

Shame, he'd have been perfect to have against Arsenal.

Hopefully he'll be back for Liverpool.

We need someone to get Under the skin of other teams and Erik is very good at that.

not worth having in the squad, cannot be relied upon in the slightest

This is just wrong, sorry. Hes been really good so far this season, absolutely epitomises the "intelligent ****" Jose wants the players to be. He came on v Burnley and changed the game for us, to name just one example

He is a valueble asset still. At the moment we can allow not to rush him back as some players like Dele can still not make the PL bench.

Thought he was suppose to be straight back after international break.

Such a pity, could really of used him in this tough run.

Hopefully be back for festive fixtures then.

He’s an absolute must against Liverpool. I still think if he played in the CL final instead of Dele we would have had a much better chance. Hugely important player against their press.

Such a shame. He was getting really good and would have been amazing to have vs. Arsenal. I can't believe he can't just have one month in the staring line up.

Not even annoyed because it's no longer a surprise. With Lamela you have to accept that he will miss large chunks of every season.

He’s not everyone’s favourite I know. But I like him and he is a proper role player like Park was for United. Sometimes you need those players to win you games.

Why can't he be on pay per game contract? Great lad, but it's a joke how often he's injured.

Would never give him a new deal unless it's pay as you play. If not time's up for Erik.

Jose said 3-4 weeks so expect him back in 2

I think what he said was that he has been injured since that long, and that he doesn't think he has a chance to play this weekend. I don't think he mentioned a possible return date.

I think they are only taking it day by day with him, but I also remember that's how it started with that hip problem which kept him out for over a year. He also has been keeping it quiet over instagram, so alarm bells are getting louder and louder imo.

Yeah this is what I got from it too and I think by him saying he doesn't think he'll be available for Sunday suggests that he may not be greatly far from a return.
