Curious case this boy. He just needs to deliver performances like yesterday on a more regular basis. Sometimes he is so frustrating, but never question his effort. Good to have him around.
Lamela on form is formidable and makes our strongest 11 IMO...always said that if he can add more goals then we are talking.
I hope now we march on this season Liverpool at Anfield will be a massive test.
Other players do the same....its part of our current playing style
I don't need you to apportion similar critique to other players in order to justify your comment here. I merely stated that I didn't see Lamela dally on the ball last night. This doesn't mean I am right, but for you to say he did it "more than a few times" is simply untrue.Hold tight for a minute. I'll be back once I've made the same point in the other player threads to make you and @SlotBadger feel better.

You cheesy-dicked virgin you....He did alright on Saturday but he could hardly have been worse and was good last night - but he is not good enough ultimately looks alright in the highlights but a player who we need to get rid off. Likeable bloke tries hard but makes awful decisions on the football pitch disappears u up blind alleys game after game - defensively a liability.
He has to be one of players we move on he has had his chance and he is not going to get any better
So does Kane, Sonny and Dele. They also miss chances that they should easily have put away.He does need to do better in-front of goal that's for sure, luckily he offers a lot besides goals, set our first 2 up tonight.
Seems like the other day some dude was saying sell him because he didn't block the cross that led to the 1st Brighton goal, of that's right it was.

i know people like the bloke but don't you think he should have at least made an effort to stop that cross coming in - even though he clearly isn't responsible for the Lloris mistake he had to do better there
I'm surprised at the negativity towards him, personally. In what has been a disappointing season so far, Lamela has been one of the bright sparks for me. I just like having him as a fit option for us.
We’re judging attacking players as defensive liabilities? He did alright on Saturday but he could hardly have been worse and was good last night - but he is not good enough ultimately looks alright in the highlights but a player who we need to get rid off.
