There's no way on this planet Kane would be annoyed about Bale arriving at the club, they would make a great partnership, I mean look what an anagram of bale is...

There was some ITK alleging Kane was not keen on the idea of Dybala coming in last summer.

Anyone worried about the knock-on effect of Bale's enormous wages should consider that the only players who could, after last season, ask for a wage rise with a straight face are Son and Kane. Levy's response would likely be "sure, you can have your rise. All you have to do is sign this 6 year deal". Win-win in my book.

Kane is injured nearly every year don`t think he deserves a rise at the moment, Son`s commercials probably pays for him anyway so perhaps can be justified... I suspect partners could come in to help pay for Bale`s wages like Juve did with Ronaldo.

I actually think its exactly what we need at this moment in time.
The whole club has been on a complete downer since the cl final shown by the entire playing squad last season.
I dont think I have ever seen a team look so jaded so quickly its like we went from great to dog shit over night.
I think it would be a smart move from levy to bring him home as the lift around the place would be worth the money alone.
Its just whats needed right now.

I’m not sure if this has been answered yet but has anyone seen Bale play recently, like last season? Whether it be sub appearances or full games.

Know he’s probably seriously out of form and in need of a run of games but wondering what his game is like currently.

It’s pretty funny, and definitely a symptom of being on a Spurs forum, that Bale’s actual form isn’t being discussed here at all. By all accounts Zidane didn’t just freeze him out, Bale played a lot in the fall including starts vs Sevilla, Atleti, PSG, Barcelona, so he really was viewed as a key player.

the results were,, not great. You could make the case he had nagging injuries but he was just ineffective, doesn’t have the same level of pace he once had and didn’t really fit into their playstyle for 90 minutes though he had flashes. Eventually Zidane opted for more energy on the wings. I really do worry about Bale’s ability to even be a reliable player physically.

Adding Bale would give us the fear factor that some teams have. Even when we were at our peak under Poch, teams didn’t lie down for us. A front three of Son, Kane and Bale would give us that.

Bale was in the top 3 players in the world, Harry wants to be at that level. This whole he's 31 and shit, if we signed Ronaldo (35) or Messi (33), we'd still have Spurs fan saying they're past their best...ffs

Ronaldo and Messi have just had two of their most consistent seasons at those ages and they're Ronaldo and fucking Messi...Bale was in their bracket however briefly, we'd be mad not to do the deal if we can imho

If it wasn't for Covid, it may have been easier to pull the trigger but let's be honest, I'll don't think we will get another try, do it Danny boy, there's a good chap

Thanks and I read elsewhere his days as a RWF were numbered and you seem to support this.

If we do bring him, I hope a return to form would come with playing more centrally, behind Kane or alongside him.

There’s a YouTube video in this thread showing his highlights from last season (19/20). He looks incredible.

Messi and Ronaldo do not have the same reoccurring injuries.

This isn't sensible logic. What you're essentially saying is that Bale didn't improve at Real, because Real were better than our 2012/13 squad. Hmm.

Bale went on to score incredible goals in huge games for Real - a number of them being goals the Spurs Bale would never have been able to do. I can't even see that it's down to opinion - he improved immensely at Real, and I'm sure that was down to playing with some of the generation's best players around him.

Not what I’m saying at all. If you had followed his career at Madrid at all you would know that he never found the consistency there that he reached under AVB at Spurs. If he had, he would have been in contention for the Ballon d’or each year. That’s his level, but he only reached those heights in moments.

There’s a reason he found himself in and out the team, and ultimately sidelined completely after the first couple of years, and it certainly wasn’t because ’he found a new level’.

That’s not to say that he was a failure at Madrid- he wasn’t. Just that he never reached the same levels of virtuoso consistency that we were lucky enough to see at Spurs.
