Jokes aside: is the injury thing slightly over-played? Just did a check on Transfermarkt and compared him with Kane, who has his injury problems but would certainly not be considered crocked.

Days missed due to injury since start of 2016/17 season:
Kane - 292 days
Bale - 315 days

That's only 3 weeks difference. Obviously this is a massively simplified way of looking at a complex problem (types of injuries, frequency vs severity, etc.), but it did make me wonder.

Maybe? Only thing is they’re aging not getting younger which surely means any bigger injuries would take them longer to heal? Almost a year of not playing in 4 seasons is a lot.

I can’t see us getting through the season without one or both of them being injured at some point. Just got to hope that it’s not the same time.
