If Real had a different manager, he would still be their best player.......Real Fucking Madrid.

If all we get from this is one game where he and Kane play out their skins, link up like Gods and both score absolute bangers then I can die a happy man and it would have been worth every penny

If you can't enjoy this then I have no idea why you follow football and Spurs

So if it's only a one year loan, what happens at the end of the year? Do we think there's an option to buy? If not, can we arrange another year loan after which he'll be out of contract and we can sign him permanently? But then we won't have Madrid subsidising his wages so could we afford him then? Lots of questions...

Levy is hedging his bets - he knows that there's a chance the human race will be down to just a few thousand of us, struggling to survive as society collapses under the weight of an as-yet-unknown symptom of COVID.

I mean, unlikely, but Levy is a studious guy, strikes me as the kind of bloke who would say, "Yes, but there is a possibility?" when seeing a 0.000001% chance statistic and putting a contingency plan in place.

I'm sick of all these golf puns!

This deal was always going to be rough, it's not easy to putt a deal like this together. On the hole, I'm sure all parties would like to get it done as soon as possible. We just need to iron out a few details and hopefully Levy can drive the deal forward. The only fairway to assess the deal will be once the details have been announced. Only then will we know if we have been shaft-ed. All parties seem keen to play ball which is positive and things are looking good but we aren't out of the woods yet.

I feel better now ;)
Clubs in agreement...?

He'll be 33 by then, who knows what state he'll be in.

Having thought about it, I think it has to be a permanent transfer. Or loan with option/obligation. I don't think we'd see this much negotiation of the finer points if it were just a one year loan.

word on the streets is that Bale came and so did I

It's funny how a week ago half the posts in this thread were blokes saying "Don't do it to yourself", but now that it looks like Bale will sign we're going to have a load of posts in here from blokes talking about doing it to themselves.

whatever we’re paying him will be worth it when before the start of a game he does that sprint and jump for an imaginary header thing in front of the south stand
