Reckon the medical has picked up that he’s out longer than we expected and levy is asking Madrid to pick up the tab until he’s fit.

Doesn’t explain why we haven’t announced Reggie though!

I reckon nothing of the sort. Your second sentence pretty much invalidates the first.

Could they be waiting until after the game tomorrow, to have good news to overshadow the fallout if we lose at Southampton ?

It's all down to maximum exposure. The club really don't care about losers like us any more.

Well with all due respect to ITKs who are clearly getting great info Zidane is probably one of the best ITKs there is on this deal and he's said it's not done yet so it probably isn't.

I disagree, it was obvious in Klopp's conference yesterday that Thiago had signed but he wouldn't confirm it. It was announced shortly after , full pictures and vids. No way they did all that then completed the deal.

The deal is done, but it's not his place to say it. Especially with Real going to have to put a positive spin on it when they are going to have to pay most of his wages.

Probably wants to announce them both at the same time. Could you imagine the meltdown if we announced Reguilón and not Bale?

While there is always a chance that the injury might be an issue, which btw wasn't being kept secret or anything, Madrid papers have been saying such for some time, though some speculation was that the injury was more imagined than real, the likelyhood is that they are still working on the announcement.

Bale has fitness issues, it has been mentioned that he needs to be taken care of and can't train everyday like other players, it is perfectly possible we took a good look at it trying to find all of the problems. Probably not in terms of breaking the deal off, but rather so we know how much we can push him, and how he will train, what fitness regime he should be put on etc. If he has an injury further to this, that will further increase the time spent.

We are probably still looking to do a double announcement and such we are waiting. It is possible that we have been doing the announcement stuff today as yesterday we may have run out of time. Again, medicals can take a lot of time, and with two players likely even longer. Even if the process was started in Madrid.
