If he stays next year he'll comfortably score 15+ providing he stays fit.

The guy oozes class and is still comfortably my favourite Spurs player in recent memory.

16 goals in 34 games, 11 in 20 Premier League matches. That's his second most productive season ever at the club, only surpassed by his final season in his first stint. He didn't even play for the full year. How can anyone honestly think he's passed it.

Let him go. He is a sideshow we do not need. Didn't do anything in any big game this season and seems to decide if and when he is fit enough to play. We need to ditch him and move on now. It's time to build a new team now, not rely on an injury prone player on massive wages. We need a hungry new squad going forward. And most importantly a TEAM, not hide behind a big name or two.
Didn’t decide what to rate this, and I’m usually loathed to neg rep an opinion, so in the end I didn’t, but my Lord...
I’ll be more upset to see Bale go (again) than Kane.
I’ve been toying with this notion too but it’s like asking which hand I’d rather lose,

I took his comments completely diff to some people on here. I think he is staying but cant comment on it until everything is agreed or it will piss off Madrid and the deal etc.

Yep, or Spurs/Levy would rather time the announcement of it, not have Bale waste the PR in a post match interview

Issue is he can't say what is happening as it depends on what spurs want. He also can't say he wants to stay because if he doesn't it shows the club don't want him and its the final nail in the cofin with Madrid

It certainly played differently in the context of her actual question ('are you staying at Tottenham or going back to your parent club?').

I also think he probably doesn't know WHERE he'll be next season, even if he knows where he'd like to be: without us having a new guy in place to decide whether to extend the loan, and without Gareth knowing who the manager is and whether he wants to play for him, he's sort of in limbo and would presumably rather not speak up publicly with so many variables in play.

I was originally pretty meh about him staying but I think we need to keep him. We do however, need to work out how to accomodate his lack of defensive effort if we do.

Retirement must be the only thing you can rule out surely? He’s got a year left on a 600k a week contract, why would he retire without picking it up?
I honestly have no clue, but there’s never a sure thing in football. But you are probably right with the contract ending next season. Would be a much better time to call it quits if he does. If he’s playing next season, I just hope it’s here.

I was one who wasn’t convinced early in the season, but the quality is obviously still there and I have obviously been proved an idiot. Financially too, if there’s a possibility levy can keep bale, for sure he will with the shirt sales and increased attention with a global star at the club. He practically pays for himself.

I love bale and want him to stay but my only concern is that he came to us just to get his match fitness up for the European championships which he has done. Once it’s over this summer will he be as motivated next season and give us his all? It’s a lot of money.

Excuse me if already posted. But Bale has scored 11 goals in 20 premiership games. That’s the same as Rashford (37) and Mane (35). Why don’t Jose play him more often??

Is it though? You could have him for one year and pay for him by selling Lamela. Bale's scored more goals this season in the league than Lamela has in his past 5 seasons in the league.

When we're discussing forward players we need forwards that score goals, not run around a bit

i imagine Levy wants Madrid to pay his wages for the next two months before we come back in. Danger there is that the new Madrid manager may want him!!
