It's also important to remember the quality of the opposition we were playing, you'd expect decent players to look good against what's effectively a 3rd Div team. GF looked neat & tidy, plus showed some nice touches, but he wasn't playing against the likes of Sterling or Mane, just a Sess wasn't play against the likes of Salah.

Played well yesterday but based on what we’ve seen on the pitch to date I’m not sure Jose would be 100% convinced on signing him so you’d hope the sink or swim position he’s in will bring out the best in him trying to prove himself.

Would be good to develop him as a RB/RWB option although I'd have to add that it's a very demanding role that many don't seem to appreciate. Primarily he'd have to work on getting everything in synch with the other defenders if he's expected to play fullback. The other question is whether he'd actually be happy playing there. He could become a very useful utility player.

Regardless of opposition yesterday he did provide much needed energy and enthusiasm and although he is work in progress with a coach of JM reputation could prove to be a star of the future. So get rid of the clown, buy a decent RB but persevere with GED, we have the large number of fixtures to do so. More concerned about LB now, Davis has his limitations, Sess or Cirkin not the immediate answer. Any suggestions?

Interesting to read how highly rated he is not just by Jose, but by his contemporaries too.

Coupled with what was a most encouraging performance down the right as a wingback then I look forward to seeing how this develops and mitigates the need for 2 new RB's (on the basis that Aurier leaves).

I think Jose wants to utilize both Gedson and Tanganga in the attacking right back role and want to buy a defensive right back like Jeki Celik or Timothy Castagne ... That way we only need to buy one RB and the money will come from Aurier Sale which is reportedly 18m and we will buy one of Celik or Castagne for 15m... That 3m difference will make up the Hojberg and Kwp deal where we had to fork out extra 3m ... Gedson will certainly help us not forking out extra dollar to buy another right back

I hope he will be playing as CM. Now there is a lack CMs, as TN will leave

Winks, LoCelso, Hojbjerg, Sissoko, plus lots of youngsters like White and Bowden even if Ndombele leaves, which I doubt.. that's still more than enough in my book

At least he seems to have a really good attitude and high work rate. Look like he wants to prove something. Good to see this morale.

Having never really seen enough of him to really know what kind of player we have, I do see potential in those highlights. There's a discipline, and ability to carry the ball and create. But obviously needs to develop a sharpness and confidence... Not to mention physicality. But I reckon there's a canny player there.
