To me, he looks as if he needs a lot more upper body strength to thrive in the Premiership.
1998 called.. they want their post back.

To emphasise the point, Dele has bulked up his upper body a lot, but regularly gets pushed off the ball because of (I would guess) a lack of balance, speed and skill
I'd like to believe that no tights, gloves or snood was a conscious decision to brave the elements and cultivate toughness English style, but he probably just didn't know where to get them from the kit store.Good lad. Straight into training with shorts and a light jacket!
IMO losing Wanyama was pretty close to losing Dembele with regard to our slump.
Skinny legs, no calves.
....as when one is over-sexed, one of the first symtoms is the knees seem to weaken and you can't really stand firm, let alone pushing off with them.
Speaking from experience ? ?In his first two seasons with us, he had enough strength to hold off barges from most opponents. But these days you can see his knees buckle when challenged heavily. I'm in Canada, so I don't know whether he has turned into a partying animal with his new found riches. If he has, that explains it as when one is over-sexed, one of the first symtoms is the knees seem to weaken and you can't really stand firm, let alone pushing off with them.
Bone China manYes.
A 12 minute highlight package uploaded today:
Gentlemen, I give you ... Erik Lamela. Spent his first season getting barged off the ball until he hit the gym.1998 called.. they want their post back.

It's about 10ºC in London. Mild and not windy. He;'s not from bleedin' Brazil, he's Portuguese.I'd like to believe that no tights, gloves or snood was a conscious decision to brave the elements and cultivate toughness English style, but he probably just didn't know where to get them from the kit store.
Agree. Wanyama was surprisingly good for a time. Also looking at the Dier-video posted in another thread (I guess - can't remember) it is quite amazing how much better he used to be as well.
Perfect storm kind of thing for me. We went from having a midfield that would at least never ever be bullied - regardless of who played - to whatever "this is" (difficult to explain the current status of our central midfield without profanity).
I thought that was Wonderwall.Poor Fernandes. We might as well call him Jesus - because that is who he is - the one that will save us.
