Skint Arsenal beating Napoli to a £72m player only for Napoli to go and nick one of our key targets would really round off the last couple of weeks!
Highest ticket prices in the world: worth every penny! If someone at the club just came out at said we don't have the money until the stadium is paid off, I'd be totally fine with it.
It's the yearly charade of "we don't need to sell to spend" and "150m will be spent this summer" followed by weeks and weeks of positivity and links only for it all to fall through in the end and blamed on some one else moving the goalposts.
We're probably just idiots for believing it all and obsessing over it, but nonetheless it is fucking exhausting and every summer is groundhog day, again!
I can't believe nobody flagged him by reporting his posts so we could keep an eye on it or make an earlier call.
Agreed.
We’ve addressed the main area of first team concern and that’s central midfield. Nobody can saw that we don’t have both quality and depth there now.
With Toby, Eriksen and Rose still here, any further signing will improve our options but not necessarily our day 1 game first team. Son, Sissoko, Trippier, Davies, none were trusted with many minutes early on.
We have two signing actively pursued without outgoings it seems, Sessegnon and Lo Celso. The former is seemingly heir apparent to Rose, who we can mostly agree is good enough and seems like he’s still here for another 6 months, and The latter would add to either an attacking 4 selection of Kane, Dele, Son, Lamela, Lucas, Eriksen and Parrott, which is some pretty awesome depth, or a CM2 / 3 selection of Sissoko, Winks, Ndombele, Dier and then Skipp and Wanyama, again not too shabby. Neither area is desperate for him, like Liverpool’s defence were desperate for VvD and Allison, but both areas would benefit from him.
This is a very good squad:
Lloris Gazzaniga
Aurier KWP
Alderweireld Foyth
Vertonghen Sanchez
Rose Davies
Winks Dier Wanyama
Ndombele Skipp
Dele Sissoko
Eriksen Lamela
Son Lucas
Kane Parrott
Now, should we get GLC, it’s EVEN less likely that we’ll see much of Wanyama, and there’s less pressure on Skipp, which are both positives. Also in terms of attackers, Eriksen is succession planned, Son and Lucas are freed up to understudy Kane, and our options our greater. Likewise, Sessegnon gives us depth which means Rose succession is pre planned, Davies is freed up for CB if needed, and in turn Foyth for RB, while his presence also gives more possibility to free up Son or Lucas to fill in for Kane and Parrott doesn’t get thrown right in at the deep end. However, while we will all, me included, be gutted to not add, there is already a very strong squad in place, who are coming into this season far better rested and also less injury riddled than last season, so if the worst happens and we do miss out, we aren’t fucked the way many are portraying it. And people might say I’m including Parrott, KWP and Skipp who are largely untested. So were Kane and Winks, so we’re TAA and Joe Gomez, so was Rashford. The upside of having to use these kids earlier on is that they become more likely to make the grade by experiencing men’s competitive football ahead of schedule.
Cloud lined with silver Biatchez!

I agree with your first part but I don't think it's a joke at all about Foyth playing RB.GLC and Sess has to be the absolute minimum and that is only if Eriksen stays. If he goes then a replacement is also needed.
I still think its a joke that we arent even replacing Trippier and shoe horning a CB into the role instead.

I’m same as you, glass half full let’s wait till the windows closed but to be fair, Levy himself said the stadium won’t impact transfers and with history I get people’s jitters.I really don’t understand this meltdown. Gards himself said he is not ITK in his tweets today. He is only giving his opinion& his opinion usually is against Levy.
Some here asking where’s all the money. Well we paid 350m from club savings/profit for land & initial build of stadium. We still have 637m in loan to repay.
So anyone expecting everything will be different is just fooling themselves.
Be realistic in your expectation to avoid disappointments.
I still hope & believe we will get Sess & Lo Celso done by this week. If we do then it’s a good window for me. If we keep Toby & Eriksen then it’s a very good window.
I am not going into rant mode yet and going to give the Benefit of doubt to club. It’s not easy to be a buying club now hence you see not much deals happening in top6.
I am not asking you to trust Levy but at least be patient & see how this week unfolds.

Fucking hell it's dark in here at the mo.
Keep saying it and you will believe it!
Made the largest profit in world football last season and just signed a massive shirt sponsor with AIA. Put that double in the trophy cabinet!
