Ehmmm, you're basically describing almost every goalkeeper ever. They all make mistakes from time to time, and Hugo's are really not worse than most other keepers. The difference is that Lloris is actually capable of stringing several top drawer performances between most of his mistakes, and that's what makes him a great asset for us.

So he made a mistake in his return match after what for him was a very intense WC month, big fucking deal. Funny how today he had yet another amazing performance in which he likely saved us three points, and the mob yet again remains quiet.

We had a whole half to score at home vs villa and couldnt muster a shot on target. For me that's a more droppable offense for any of the midfield/attack.

No the mistakes arent great but up until we've been playing with zero margin for error always level or behind to mid table or worse teams, and the outfield situation is contributing to this more than lloris on a week to week basis.

Hoping we can string together a run of Palace level performances from Hugo and the team from here.

I reckon he'll probably retire next summer once his contract is up then. Raya or Pickford in this summer to battle it out for the starting spot, and if they do well take over the reigns from Hugo long-term.

Twitter no life saddos infesting that tweet, wish the social media team would start blocking those wastes of life and not the ENIC out dissenters.

France’s most capped player ever and double the amount of captain appearances as number 2 on the list - oh yeah, and he’s lifted the World fucking Cup in one of them. Suck on that losers.

I dont see him retiring next summer. I do think he willl carry on but he may go back to France to "slow down".

A sad reflection on Tottenham Hotspur Football Club that Hugo may not have a winner’s medal for anything to show for his time with us, he saved our ass so, so many times. We we’re fortunate to have him an lucky he still knows with us.

Mike Manigan would have been a good choice as his replacement imo.

Wonder if he'll try for one more move at the end of the season after that news.

Actually didn't realise he was 36, 145 caps for your country is very impressive.

Especially when your country is one of the most successful international sides this era. 2 World Cup finals and one European cup final, and a World Cup winner’s medal. What a career.
