Firstly this. Secondly, you can visibly see the uncertainty Gazzinga creates in our defence. Sanchez constantly is looking at him when the opposition break to see what he will do. Whereas the defence have certainty when Lloris is coming and that makes a huge difference. This thread is a great way of working out who hasn’t got a clue about goalkeeping. Lloris has made a few mistakes, but he’s also played 230 odd more games than Gazzaniga for us in a higher risk system. And their mistake tallies are probably about equal, even then.
If you actually think their ability or talent are comparable, you’re barking. I can’t wait to have him back, talking about the start of the season when our defence had downed tools is redundant, what can he do when the whole team decides to forget how to use their feet? He remains one of our most loyal and talented players. Kane makes a load of mistakes too, as do Son, Eriksen, Toby et al. Making out Lloris is in any way more culpable than the rest is (and excuse my language) absolutely bananas.
We are currently defending like gomes is in goal again. Once he is taken out and Lloris steps in I’m sure our defence will not so mysteriously tighten up
