I mean he’s been elite for the past 2.5 seasons and barely putting a foot or glove wrong. 2 poor games doesn’t take away from his class, and I agree that mistake was terrible! Just the frustration that these errors can creep in at any moment.
Today wasn’t a poor game, he made one mistake and to the good pulled off a save few other keepers anywhere could make.

Ball bounced at him. Right at him. Horrible to judge. Had a player on him. It wasn’t great. But other than that he was brilliant. Probably the best I’ve seen him for a while coming off his line and catching the ball. And that save was world class.

I cant believe the stick the he got , he was impeded by De Bruyne, do we expect better maybe yes, but he was defo impeded by de Bruyne coming in that exact the same time , when you look at it for that prospective in real time it really is not as black and white.

Yeah, on first look it seemed like a blunder, but I don’t think it was as much of an error when you consider De Bruyne’s run and the nature of the cross. I think a lot of people just saw it as the same mistake as last week and saw a pattern which wasn’t there.

Thought he was great yesterday.

Yeah I think it was a harder take than it looked. The cross should never have been allowed to come in in the first place. That save second half was absolutely amazing too.

The errors are creeping in and Gollini looks to be going back to atalanta. We need to sign his replacement this summer and give them a good chunk of minutes next season to start the transition.

Yeah it was an error but thats what happens when you are trying to play out from the back. The root cause was the mistake and error before that. Keepers bare the brunt of it I still think he has done way more good than bad.

I get that but he tried to be cute rather than put the ball in the stand, and then tries, thankfully unsuccessfully, to bring their player down which would have been a straight red.

It's time for a GK in the summer at least some competition and potential to replace Lloris
Absolutely, needed a goalkeeper last window
Hugo nearly missed the Boro game today.
The only silver lining is maybe Austin would have played. Him I like as a keeper, but the pressure would have horrendous. Last chance of a trophy.

name me another top goalkeeper that makes as many mistakes as Hugo? Great guy, world class when he just has to react. But whenever he has time to think he's a bundles of nerves and poor decision making.

It happens all the time, you just don't see it because you're hyper focused on Spurs. This isn't a video game, players are human and make mistakes from time to time. Can't believe the standard Hugo is held to, he's one of our most consistent players and rarely has put a foot wrong over the last few seasons.

I thought he was trying to punch the ball away when he fell to the ground, which would have also been a straight red
