I agree with the post above. It’s a silly world where we have to be accountable for every decision moment and action. Let’s be human and grow.

I’d rather they did a promo with Gareth and Madz where they acknowledged it and showed there are no hard feelings.

I feel the more human the players can be with this stuff, the better role models they are.

Remember during the Euros a couple of years ago, the media chose to run muckraking stories about Kalvin Phillips' family the first time he was newsworthy rather than say positive things about his breaking out for England. Or even just a couple of weeks ago where the coverage went from "banter lad Grealish celebrates treble!" to "drunken waster Grealish misses England duty!" in the space of 48 hours.

It's just awful.

Seems a nice guy but is extremely over enthusiastic and has never had any inside information before, so I really wouldn't read anything in to it.

Yeah, kids say and do stupid things. I’m so glad there was no twitter or Facebook when I was a teenager for people to dredge up embarrassing posts.

We’d already done the jokey thing with Doherty when he signed so we couldn’t do that again, and I think it’s just better if we and he say nothing at all.
