Great player and stuck with us when he easily could of got a bigger move.
Still can't understand how he went from what I considered his best season with us last year to this.
Respect him for the way he played. And he seems like a nice guy. A shame he couldn't keep it up for a couple more seasons. I was thinking he would go Italian being a brilliant CD in his mid 30s.
That's my thinking too. Especially as 10 years is much harder to do in the modern era because of the reliance on foreign talent - they'd have to move to the club at a young age. We're Jan's only English club, he's been loyal, he's done 8 years, and I'm sure he'd do another 2 if he was still good enough to start for us which he sadly isn't. That'll do for me.I think that should be flexible to a certain degree.
Jan has given the full prime of his career to Tottenham. And been a truly superb player in one of our best periods as a club.
Toby and Jan as a partnership were incredible.
The back five with Walker, Rose and Lloris was such an incredible spine.
Meh, I love Jan. At his best an absolute Rolls. Hugely underrated in the wider world too. And, let's face it, there aren't many people in our club or following who haven't had their frustrated moments over the years. I love the guy.
This. He just needs a proper run of games, victory games, to get his mono and confidence back. Which unfortunately he does not get under all the circumstances. Dier went through the same patch but he's regaining what was lost after restart. Unlucky guy.I don't think he's lost it. I just think he's out of form and out of the team. I'd have no issue with him extending another 2 seasons
