"Player of the season"...:cautious:

I know we're having a bad season but surely not that bad.

A whole hearted but sadly average player. At best his turn and run at players like an animal let out of a cage can create chaos for opposition, but man I would hate to play alongside him. Touch is poor link up play is poor also seems sporadically quick but takes an age to recover from bursts of pace.

Would be first on my list to upgrade.

Can stay as long as he wants to for me.
Even if just as back up sporadically playing, and then can carry on representing club when he retires.
Gave me one of the best nights of my life in the stands at Ajax, won’t hear a bad word about him

I do think we need an upgrade but I don’t think we should be looking to sell unless a really good offer comes in. As a bench/rotation offer he’s excellent, you would be hard pressed to find a better one. But he’s just not quite on the same level as Son and Kane.

His end product is abysmal and frankly indefensible.

Badly need to upgrade on him, another signal of our decline that he's a regular starter.

When a team is having a bad season it is often the hard workers that get the praise, justifiably really.

But I agree with you that he is somebody to be upgraded on. I certainly respect his work rate and attitude but I think he lacks that bit of quality needed for such an attacking position.

no one else is any where close to Kane and son

The fact people are saying Moura should be the first to go in the summer is quite frankly, laughable. First ahead of Doherty, Royal, Sanchez and about another 3 others? Have a word.

No, we're not saying that. Just that we want a BETTER player than him in this position. If you disagree with me, thats on you. But Im glad we brought in Kulusevski. He does not look like he needs many chances to prove himself. Running and COYSing is not enough if you want to be at top level. For me, his time is up.

I dont agree with you completely, but to a point a get you however , what ever you say about him, he 1000% better than Bergwijn in terms for contribution , effort, determination and the hope to change things, as a squad player in general if he is defo not one id be pushing for first ... bergwiyn before him any day of the week

Wonder if it's ever crossed his mind to try and re-train or focus on the RWB position? With Doherty out for the season and Kulusevski making that RW position his own, Lucas has an opportunity to potentially step-in as RWB cover. I can definitely see what he can bring to the RWB position with his attacking and obvious concern would be his defensive output ( he'll probably win a ton of aerial duels but his defensive positioning could be very suspect as a RWB.

This is a really good compilation from the official Spurs account showing Lucas's performance vs Palace last season. I forgot how well he played in that game but also how effective his pressing and tracking back were.

It'll be Royal as the RWB (for good reason), and if he's injured I'd even imagine Sess, Reggie, and Deki are ahead of Lucas at who's just not disciplined enough to work as a RWB.

He loves the club, we love him but I thought he had promised his family, that they would be going home to Brazil when his contract ended... He is a real family man, and I think that's what will happen... Always be a legend for me. Maybe he will go out with a final flourish as a RWB !!!

dont understand the notion of selling lucas, we need a big squad, with multiple comps and 5 sub rule, and lucas will be a great squad member, loves the club and good sub option to have to run at tiring legs
