Not sure whether it’s a blessing for him or a bummer but it’s also bonkers how overshadowed this signing is with the Kane stuff.

Ha, @Tyler24durden disliking this post because he's the one referenced about the translate function and keeps posting info from twitter aggregators! 🤣
No I disliked it because you’re unable to click a simple translate button and then started a crusade against me at every opportunity.

the post didn’t mention anything about Twitter at all either.

Ive actually shared info with Rob and A&C before, and mentioned tosin back in January before anyone else.

Not claiming to be ITK but do share bits I hear, but I can understand why actual ITKS don’t bother posting as it’s not worth the aggro.

plenty of people dislike or do negative ratings on things I’ve said over the years on here and I never call them out on it or try to shame them publicly.

everyone is entitled to their thoughts on each post (including disliking them), that is the point of the various ratings, not to then challenge people over them.

I’m not going to engage with you any further.

It's not a crusade against you, you were just the most recent example of someone posting foreign news, when it's been repeatedly asked by the mods for the translation to be provided too.

Just like it's repeatedly asked for people not to say thing like, "apparently", "reports are" and "I've heard", without providing links to where that news has come from.

I couldn't care less if you've received info in the past, most of what you've been posting lately has all come off twitter aggregators and is exactly what the mods keep telling people not to do.

If you can't provide a link, don't post it.
It's not that complicated.

And I quote ...
If you're going to post a story and just leave it at 'Reports' because you're either too fucking lazy to post the source or you know it's not a source we'd like to see on here then you're done in here. Fucking hell it's not like it hasn't been said like hundreds of times.

You all know by now that's not how we roll and if you don't then you're clearly too fucking dense to be allowed loose on SC unsupervised. All that happens is we end up with people losing their shit over a rumour started by some utter wankstain on the internet. How many bastard times does it need repeating.

Wankers.

If he is to be our main CB buy it is still a bit of a risk for me. I think we needed someone who is clearly ready for the first team. Chelsea just spent more on some young CB who likely won’t play for ages. £35m sounds like a lot but in the current market it really isn’t.

Fair enough, but is not expected to walk into their first team and cure their defensive problems.
No, but that's cos chelsea spent 35 mil on a bang average squad player, as the toddster is mad a a box of frogs. He's not potential, he's cover for Fofanas horror injury. Colwill is the star potential at Chelsea.

Timber at arsenal maybe a better comparison, who was 38m.

It is a fair chunk for potential though, I agree - but also, I'm of the opinion that we have to take risks like this, as it's harder for us as a club to sign 'sure thing' players. I'm also one to complain that we wait to long to sign up and coming talent, and get blown out of the water by a city or Liverpool once they are established, so am finding it hard to complain when we actually do it for once lol :D

Not complaining either, happy to get him on board. It’s just that I think an elite CB is essential for our spine. This was not the position to take risk on. I had never heard of VDV or Tapsoba before this window so hopefully Ange got his first choice.

This is such a tiresome take.

You well know much of the displeasure was about how this deal was apparently set weeks ago, Ange didn’t get a CB to bed in on tour, and now we’re just getting verbally confirmed nine days before the season kicks off.

It’s great to finally be moving this one across the finish line but you’re just parroting strawman nonsense here.

Top tip, man - use the ignore function. 👍🏼😉

Not too bothered when he joined.... many clubs are still signing players and will be right to the end of the window. In the main 1 signing being signed a week before the season starts won't make a difference to the Brentford game or where we end the season.

I'm fascinated by how the principle is being applied to the defence......but we about to sell Kane and we would need his replacement bedded in too.... so wouldn't that have been more important or just as important as the defense argument ? That the striker would have needed to have gone on preseason etc... or spent time with his colleagues.

Signing VDV now or 2 weeks ago really isn't the end of the world. oh raised my eyebrows at the new price...established defender yes.... prospect....naah. hopefully it's much lower and Journos are just sucking numbers out their arse.

If he's in the building today he might as well make a weekend of it and watch the game tomorrow.

I wonder if he will be at the game tomorrow.

I'd say it's certainly possible. If reports are correct then medical and other media stuff for the transfer is happening today, so possibly an announcement either tonight or tomorrow morning. Would make sense for him to come out and say hello to the fans before the game tomorrow.
