Huge loss, looked bad. Awful night for suspensions and injuries, literally couldn't have hand picked worse players to lose.

CB absolute necessity in Jan, and players filling in now are just gonna have to step up.

Hoping at best 6 weeks out. Preparing for the worse - season out. Those hammy injuries are just terrible. And for that to happen to him at this stage of the season and his career at Spurs is some really shitty luck.

Fingers crossed that it's a positive prognosis.

I dont expect to see VDV now till new year. I fear its a bad bad tear.
I hope it isnt those career killer hamstring injury.

I would rather not play VDV for additional 2 months , if it means he completely recovers from it with no overhang

Was right in front of me. He was in agony. Couldn't straighten his leg. I'd be amazed if that isn't a tear a rupture or even the full Sessegnon

probably the worst player we could suffer a major injury too.

we simply cannot play that high line with Dier and Emerson at CB.

i'd loce to bring Phillips in, but a CB with pace on Jan 1st is an absolute must.

What you reckon the prognosis? 6-12 weeks depending on severity?
I used to play hockey at a high level - totally different sport, I appreciate that, but muscle injuries are the same. I’ve seen team mates bounce back from pulling up this way in less than a month I’ve had others who have had half a season wiped out. Depends on whether it’s a strain or a tear.

I fear for the worst having seen it today but hope for the better!

[having read the couple of above posts that sadly doesn’t fill me with confidence]

Yes it’s a massive disappointment but I think it’s a bit early for some of your prognosis. Season ending to career ending is a bit premature don’t you think?

Its not premature...we have seen numerous players ruined by hamstring. There's no easy fix with them

And we have seen the majority come back with no after effects, hamstring injuries are probably the most common injury in pacey players, goes with the territory it appears.

We have seen players coming back sooner - because more often , when players feel it, they take it easy & come off precaution like in case of Johnson.

When there is a hamstring injury with way he was running, intensity & strain of pull is larger
Lets hope for the best.

The worst thing about tonight, hands down. He's going to be a massive, massive loss.

Hamstring injuries can be scary. Especially for VDV, as he relies on heavy sprints.

Fingers crossed 🤞

Pochettino said something that is interesting.

He blamed VAR for the injury, he said that all the stoppages causes players muscles to cool down and increases the risk of an injury.

Surely it was the lack of crystals and positive energy?

Sorry!
