Never been his biggest fan but 1-2 years ago he did a job and really contributed. Since he scored the header against Brentford he seems to be dis-interested and unfit.

If sissoko is given the role of marking Laporte at the free kick (and its safe to assume that he was, because up until the ball was played he was standing right next to him), then it’s no stretch at all to work out that sissoko is to blame for losing his man and allowing him a free header.
you can argue that dier or Toby should be marking Laporte and Dias but once the role is allocated there’s no shifting the blame here I’m afraid.
Sissoko lost his man.

Odd thing for his size he is garbage in the air, he is never in the opposition box for our corners wtf is he marking a central defender who is good in the air

City are not a big team. Laporte and Dias were the only dangers from a set piece, so much they was about to bring Rodri on, (sky even highlighted this which lets be honest was the best piece of in depth analysis they provided for a while). Why the centre halves are not marking the two danger man is school boy. Southampton, Aurier is marking Ings! Seems like we really don’t know how to match up in set pieces which has got to go back to the training pitch

You just knew when he came on things would start going to shit ??‍♀️

Someone must know the winning percentage when we play Winks and Sissoko? It was very low if memory serves.
Like I said in the game chat, we all know what happens when those 2 are the midfield!

Admittedly I do think he was brought on to cover the space left by Bale, but when that happens and you have Winks who is already hiding then you have no chance.

His one asset, being an absolute monster athlete has now diminished so what does he actually bring to the table?

Can’t pass, can’t shoot, can’t defend, just about runs with the ball, can’t mark or tackle, can’t draw defenders out of position and most importantly can’t read the game, so what is his quality right now?

The pointing is just infuriating, it’s what gave away the pen in the champs league final and it’s what let’s multiple players glide past him.

Been mentioned many times before but our regression started the moment he became a regular starter and in turn an important member in the dressing room.

Can't get rid fast enough.

if he's important in the dressing room its because he's a really decent level-headed guy the others respect. No reason to gainsay tha, whatever your opinion of his footballing ability.

Gets to play in two finals while Lamela misses out.

Such injustice.
No idea how that could ever happen. Totally disgusted Lamela couldn't even put a foot in these finals knowing how left-footed he is. The energy and commitment from Lamela are exactly what we need to rub them off the lads and yet we allowed one donkey to point his way around.

Mason would have practiced set pieces and worked who were the danger men for City. So for him to think that Sissoko could take care of Laporte is criminal. We have players like Kane and Toby that would have been better suited. Mason was watching the same game as us, he should have been screaming at Kane and Toby to swap with Sissoko

It’s criminal to send on Sissoko at all.

Is there anything left to say about Sissoko other than, enough is enough, it's time to move him on and that will only happen if Levy is able to change the habit of a lifetime by accepting a realistic offer for him.

Aurier with a shit free kick for no reason, Sisoko shits the bed with his marking..........and on and on and on we go.

That a player as limited as sisoko has stayed at the club as long as he has tells you everything you need to know about how this club is run.
