If I was chairman, I would say "Ok Nabil, we'll leave things for now and see how well you do this coming season"

He has 3 years left, he can prove if he is worth 80k this season.

I'm a big Nabil fan and believe he could well be captain material in the near future however if he is actually on less than 15,000 pounds a month and his agent is now asking for around 80,000 no wonder the ongoing negotiations have taken 9 months without a conclusion being reached. I sincerely hope we can come to an amicable agreement between the 40-50,000 pound mark which it appears Capoue, Paulinho and Dembele are all on but to pay more at this stage of his career would be down right ridiculous whilst setting a precedent for all the other academy players to ask for the same after 11/2 years of being involved with the senior squad. Hopefully our bean counter and Nabil's agent find common ground before the preseason starts. Should that not be the case then for the sake of harmony within the squad we should ask Citeh, who appear to be the ones tapping him up, for an exorbitant price and sell him pronto.

What is the point of having Baldini do the negotiations if he doesn't take Luca Brasi with him into contract talks?

Best midfielder in the team and while being played out of position and a full international, pay him.

Then if he has a half decent season next year and asks for 100k+ what then?

Smacks of a player already thinking he's getting too big for the club..

He is not worth 80k a week, no chance. If that's true and what he's asking for then he's lost touch on reality. One first full OK season in league

This kid (Nabil) is going to be massive for us one day, but he needs somebody even better alongside him to learn from, not Ryan Mason. The latter should be relegated to the EL and cups, he's not a top 4 player.

I like this idea. He's not the finished article, good but not great & hopefully will improve.

Doesn't bode well for the future if the latest itk is true and he's demanding cheques that his (current) ability can't cash.

Yip, I think he's been told he's worth £120K pw etc... and he believed it. And currently he's not worth it.

Sounds like he's got some smart people advising him. And he probably could get 80k elsewhere. So PSG then. Fortunately he's ours for now so hope the deal can be done. It really doesn't bode well for us keeping him long term which is a massive shame. He's dead good him.

Bloody hell. He's a great player, but 80k at age 20, especially considering our wage structure, is fucking ridiculous. Hope the lads head isn't getting too big.

These footballers are nuts, one full season he should be ecstatic and over the moon at earning 20-30k a week. We give him anywhere near 80 and watch his performances nose dive.
