Have a few Many City friends, they think it's Cancelo who wants to leave not that City want him gone. Can't see him him going this window, though they probably are looking at fullbacks. Hopefully our talks with Porro are near the end.
Hmmmm he’s in my fantasy football team so I need to be monitoring this more closely!

If this thing about only being able to register 3 new players for the next round of the CL is true, that may give us a serious advantage over Chelsea.

They have already signed Mudryk, Madueke, Felix, Badiashile and Fofana.

So they can only register 3 of those as it is, let alone if they sign a new RWB and CM.

There is a good chance they wouldn’t be able to register Porro for the CL surely.

Isn't Porro cup tied at CL anyway or have the rules changed?

Chelsea are doing the Gusto deal

Ha, It's almost like he's treating any FFP fine like the luxury tax in the NBA. Just pay it like a bill if/when it turns up. £460m and counting this season. I know its spread over contract lengths, but they must be close to hitting it regardless, surely? It's not as if they've sold anyone bar Werner to balance it.

All things seem to point to Conte not being here next season (us unlikely to get Zaniolo who is supposedly a main target of Contes, Hercules info, Romano's briefing on wkend) so why are we still going after a specialist RWB when so few managers play with a back 5?

lets just hijack gusto if he's cheaper and better. it's clear levy's going to negotiate upwards via £1 increments on porro until someone else offers the full clause and closes the deal immediately.

Given that I'm involved with lots of (non-football) agents - who simplify the transactions down massively - there are probably just quite a few technical moving parts here.

I could be giving more credit than I should be, but if you think these meetings are "ok, you want 12, we'll give you 10" and then they come back the next day and go "ok, you want 12, we'll give you 11" and that's all they discuss, then I think you're gravely mistaken.

It's more like "ok, you want 12, but we'll give you 11 but take away 0.1 for every time you think about the song "Careless Whisper" between 1 January 2023 and 31 December 2025, such thinking about Careless Whisper to be assessed by the purchaser in its entire discretion (but acting reasonably) and in the event of dispute shall be referred to the Independent Expert in accordance with Schedule 4".

If Chelsea sign him to a 1000 year contract, how much does it go against their FFP per year?

He can play there but hes a specialist RWB. I just don't understand why we are trying to sign him when Conte appears to be leaving end of season and his replacement will likely not play with wingbacks

Maybe, just maybe when Conte leaves we'll appoint another manager who plays wing backs?

Mr Romano says we are “in love with Porro”. Moved on from really keen which is the way true love should flow ?

Who said he is a specialist right wing back? He's been great there but has played both right midfield and right back in his career. He's pretty adaptable.
