If we go into next season with the current midfielders then we are completely fucked. It is so light weight.

there is no running power in there, couple that with the lack of pace at CB it’s very easy for teams to get goal side of us we just can’t cover the spaces behind midfield and defence. Ndombele has got fantastic ability, there is a player in there, same with Lo Celso. There is ability, definitely need to add some real pace and energy through the spine of the team. I don’t think Hojbjerb is the answer, I think people went way overboard about him when we were defending deep as a team and there wasn’t as much space for him to cover. Since we’ve changed shape he’s struggling more and I don’t think it’s down to tiredness it’s a lack of athleticism.

He’s been one of our most consistent performers this year, a bright spot in a very gloomy few months. Right now he’s very obviously knackered having played almost every single game in this fixture packed season.

Of course Spurs are a top club. We have been competing at the top of the league, or for the top four for the best part of a decade now. Consistently played CL football and got past the group stages regularly as well as playing in the biggest game in club football.

People need to stop with this bullshit self pitying narrative that we aren’t a big club with big ambitions.
