Now that he's staying, I hope he buckles down and mentally commits. The performance against Fulham this week was indicative of someone who had one foot in and one foot out the door. He's a pro, but like anyone human, he's gonna have a moment like that. However, it's time to get over it and push for being in the first XI. Work his socks off to show he's worth more than a paltry fee Athletico were throwing around.

He's just a bad player and watching Sarr, Bissouma and Maddison just highlights it even more.

Last year he got away with the 2 man midfield stuff, no hiding place this year

This is a ridiculous description - in no reasonable logic is he a bad player.

Completely bonkers. One - a lot easier to hide in a 3 than in a 2. He is not an atrocious player by any stretch. It’s why Ange brought him on the last two league games to close up shop.

he’ll get his mind right and he’ll be perfectly fine for us.

the Fulham game and that 2nd string lineup has everyone rattled.

PEH next to Biss and Maddison or next to Sarr and Maddison or next to Biss and GLC is just fine. (Basically any combo without Skipp)

wish he’d have moved but the guy is perfectly fine as depth for us .

Hope he enjoys the view from the bench. At best it's a wasted 4 months for him but likely a wasted season staying here.

The vitriol is frankly shocking. He’s going to accept his role just fine and do a job for us. We’ll need him this season. Don’t let the toxicity (which DL fully deserves, but not PEH) ruin this season.

Atletico led him up the garden path IMO and wasted all our time.
2m Loan Fee and obligation for 15m when we had already agreed 30m with Fulham as the Paulinha contingency. Another one along with Inter and Barcelona we should stay well clear of with dealings.

The sad thing for PEH is that the Athletico offer says they really didn’t rate him that highly and only as a bargain basement opportunist buy. Led PEH to think his future was as a starter at a big club. Spurs bench is his future hoping for injuries.

I think they were expecting the Felix money that never came. The problem with this stupid transfer deadline being where it is.

Atletico have pissed off Pierre, Spurs and Bayern - impressive work.

My point is that people blamed his inability to control a game on only being in 2. This year with 3 he has no excuse for not getting available and not playing forwards.
