Bentacur was underrated, or perhaps overly criticised, in todays game. Much better from him, far better movement and trying to do the right thing on receiving the ball. Give him another couple of games and he'll be right as rain.

Shocking tackle though, will give people that.

Not sure about Lo Celso but Sarr for sure is my preference as the #8 on the right side.

With the talk of us wanting a starting #6 and Bergvall joining in the summer, does anyone else think we might see one of Bentancur or Bissouma sold?
Definitely not Bentacur his just coming back from two bad injuries

I think we would be mad to sell Bentancur. When at the top of his game he is genuinely world class and very influential. If you look back to his World Cup performances he was excellent. I think given game time he will get up to speed again where he finds those quick forward passes. I'm unsure whether his best position is a 6 or an 8 but feel comfortable with him playing either

He is probably our only world class player after Son. We won't see him back to his best till next season after all those injuries but he is top class.

No. Absolutely not.

Unless there’s a barmy offer, you don’t discard two players, nearing peak age, with their ability.

You work to get the best out of them. Two excellent players, just not in the best form right now

I'd be surprised and disappointed if we sold either this summer.

Before the injury Bentancur was one of our best players. He's also clearly very popular.

Bissouma is a very good player who suits Ange's style really well. He's had a few down periods this season but he's a really good player who has more to offer.

Very good player, but right here, right now the weak link. Needs to be benched, both Sarr and Lo Celso offer more now. Once he is in top of his game it might be different. But not XI material for next game.
But he needs games and rhythm to get going.

This is why I think any European football is good.

The more you play, the sharper you get and that goes for all the squad.

He's definitely not as sharp or as physical as he was before his injury. He looks much more lightweight right now. He needs time.

No way we have multiple midfielders on the sell list before we should even think about letting either of those two go

Not quite back to his best but an improved performance which makes me think he is heading back.

With PEH very likely to go I doubt it.

Sell Bentancur? Was this even being suggested by anyone? 😅

Absolute quality player - just think back to even last season. He’s not at his best at the moment but he’s a starting 11 player all day long

I’m still convinced he’d be better suited to the central 6 role where he can drop deep and carry / play balls forward. I think you’re demanding too much from him defensively and physically as the 8 on the right, especially when Porro is playing. Would prefer to have an engine player like Sarr or Kulu as the right 8 to get up and down covering for the fullback.

We saw Bissouma entering the box a lot more in the first half of the season, I’d like to see Bents do this as the 6.

Wonder if Rodrigo is ready to start vs Fulham. I'm concerned about Yves and he could do with a spell on the sidelines. Shame that they've been out of form at the same time but I'd prefer Bentancur as a 6 at the moment.
