Just googled him to find out more info and all I see are dozens of articles linking him with Utd and nothing about us. Either this is an "under the radar" type deal where we're looking to steal him from under their nose in secret, or we are openly interested but we're out of the race as long as Utd are after him.
I know the journos wank over Utd as they want the hits on their sites so I'm hoping it's just that.

Just a musing: our 3 worst players today (Alli, Winks, Davies) are all homegrown. We seriously need to sort that issue out as I don't think we have room for more than two foreign players once Rose is sold.

The homegrown issue is what I was referring to. No genuinely it is a huge thing, we’ll have to leave players out of EL squads as a result.

It's not an issue, having a dodgy 45 minutes in the very first game of the season does not mean we have issues.

Davies was solid last year, winks wasn't anywhere as bad last year as he has been today and Alli just needs his confidence back.

And seems we’ve got a clean opportunity to sign one of the top prospects in his position for a very reasonable fee. Even if we agree to the buyback clause, I don’t care - we need players that are urgent to win, not Steady Eddies who deliver functional mediocrity most games.
