He cost twice as much as Pav and is less effective.. A complete fuck up from top to bottom..Not cut out for the premiership. He is worse than Roman Pavlyuchenko. That says a lot.

Well put, I have nothing against him and he obviously has talent but his talent isn't suited for our league or team. This is like a relationship when both sides know its over but keep trying. Its time to move on!
What a load of rubbish - the claim was that Soldado is competing for 'Worst Spurs striker ever' - did you not even read the post? - and that claim is total bullshit, since strikers are measured on how many goals they've scored. Or should we start writing off Defoe's goals that were in Europe? Or should we say that Durie's should count for double because he was in a shitter team? Or should we only count half of them because the Premiership was an easier league than it is now? It's the same bullshit as writing (4 penalties) after Soldado as though they suddenly don't count.
Just because you don't like the facts doesn't mean you can just ignore them.
Another one of the many depressing shortcomings in his game is his complete lack of any threat whatsoever outside of the penalty area. (Not that he's been anything but disgraceful inside the area either.) At least with Pavlyuchenko - another player that I'm seriously unkeen on, btw - there was always the chance that he might randomly blast one in the top corner from 25 yards despite constantly being muscled off the ball whenever he got close to goal. Soldado doesn't even have that in his locker, which combined with his complete lack of pace and physical presence makes him a completely toothless option as a striker.
Now at the point where I cannot wait for him to leave the club, would take any offer at all for him in January.
Bony's movement was creating space to provide the service to himThis isn't about soldado but if we gave Bony that service I believe it would of ended int he same outcome, i.e. ball bouncing off defender
Bony has thrived on through balls from his midfield and no long ball punts
The reason I say this isn't about soldado, is because I don't know whether signing Bony would fix things despite being the best striker we could get
I agree he needs to be moved but in the first half we didn't have the ball with the AM much and he setup the only time he was involved check out my first half analysis on our defence in the ratings thread about bony, he was making the runs with the balls coming his wayBony's movement was creating space to provide the service to him
Soldado was hiding - he has no bottle and he just needs to go now, best thing for him and us
The earliest stat suggested we had something like 70% possession and the bulk of it was in their third - even during that time he was doing nothing. No movement to make things happen, he lacks the mental strength of character to get out of his slump and he's hiding because his confidence is low.I agree he needs to be moved but in the first half we didn't have the ball with the AM much and he setup the only time he was involved check out my first half analysis on our defence in the ratings thread about bony, he was making the runs with the balls coming his way
We weren't making those kind of balls and if we sign bony will we start?
Bony didn't movement wasn't great but we gave him so much space, people may not believe as I stated this early but look at his 5 chances in the first half and he just drifted behind the fullback 4 times and peeled in to the edge of box, which was free because mason and bentaleb were tackling the threat on the left hand side
I watched the first half again, we hardly had a passage of play in their half dudeThe earliest stat suggested we had something like 70% possession and the bulk of it was in their third - even during that time he was doing nothing. He saw a decent amount of the ball but he always looked for the easy backwards and sideways ball and then made no real effort to find space or make space for others with his subsequent runs. It looks like he's given up to me
Bony's movement was excellent - he was getting in between our centre backs and timing his runs perfectly for the wide and attacking players to play balls in to the space behind our back two and leave himself in on goal
He also linked play far better and was constantly looking to make things happen
The difference with Soldado and Bony is that Bony has a team that's willing to create chances for him and willing to play him game after game no matter what. Soldado would be great at Swansea too. If you look at Bony today, he missed two sitters. If that had happened to Soldado we would have seen a flood of anti-soldado posts but most of you would prefer Bony.
Yup.
Yet he'd do as badly as Soldado if we bought him. You'd all be wondering if he didn't suit our "system" than address the actual issue, the poor midfield we have now and the baffeling selections by Poch. WTF are we playing Lamela, Bentaleb and Mason? Why did we sell Siggursson and why did we loan Holtby out, the player who could probably get the best out of Soldado?
I'll admit, I was desperate for Soldado to do well - I still am, but I know its over really. The fact he's only scored three league goals, in open play, is not just a very poor return in the cold light of day, its absolutely mind boggling.
You have to make things happen at this level, like Kane has come in and done and Bobby just hasn't done this and he's had plenty of runs in the team now. Kane has three league goals in 6 starts. Soldado has three in God knows how many starts? 25? 30?
Yes he needs a certain type of service to thrive but that's not enough and why the signing was a mistake from the off. I'm saying that with hindsight admittedly.
Always feel Soldado is waiting for it to happen as opposed to grabbing it by the bollox and making it happen by hook or crook, The fact that he can't even attempt to do this tells us he's not up to the role.
A loan move back to Spain in January would be best. Hopefully he'll do well and we can then get some sort of fee back on him.
