Son has previous for *exactly* this type of reaction. It doesn't matter what Rudiger did, Son thrust his foot up vertically in a very unnatural and deliberate way.
Yeah no shit. Shame the same sort of aftersight wasn't used in the first half though, eh.

He's lost his Mr Nice Guy image now that's for sure.

It's as if the higher he gets rated as a top player the more petulant and cocky he has become.

Not that it is an excuse for what Son did, but he didnt kick for no reason. Have another look at the incidens and you will see that Rudiger hit Son right before with his right hand in Sons right flank. So I hope that Rudiger get a punishment later or else there is an accept to provoke reaction like Sons.

Too many idiots in our team. Too many players without a footballing brain. Aurier, Gazza, Son for starters.

This isn't a one off anymore. Anger management class next. It's really an unflattering characteristic. Petulant and childish. Just go down, take the tactical free kick and move on. It's not like Son is the only pacy winger in the league that gets fouled a lot.

Absolutely no chance of it being rescinded, they actually used VAR correctly this time unlike at Everton. That's the third time now we've seen this kind of hot-headed bullshit from Son, he needs to fucking control himself or teams are just going to wind him up relentlessly.

All of that said...

That's just a terrible take.

But look at the video, rudiger hits Son right before the takle so there could be extenuating or maybe Rudiger get ban later?

Moronic and disrespectful to his teammates and the club. Doing this once is forgivable. Twice is dumb. Three times is catastrophic stupidity and a complete lack of impulse control. Pathetic.

No. Just no. Doesn't matter what happened before or how the other player exaggerated or whatever - what Son did was worthy of a red card.

If there was anything VAR would have checked.
You say that but they spent the best part of a minute trying to decide whether Dele was fouled inside or outside the box when he was blatantly at least a yard offside and therefore it couldn't possibly have been a penalty.
