Just as an extra punishment they should extend the ban to Gazzaniga. I'd be so cheesed off but it feels like the right thing to do.

I'm still not able to function properly after witnessing what he did. Like I actually feel like I need to talk to someone about it.

All I can think of why we are appealing is that they may not sit before Brighton match, so he might be available for that and miss Middlesbrough instead. Zero chance of it being overturned so can only think of this as being reason

That is my thought too.

He's letting the club, the fans and the team down. 3 red cards for retaliation driven offences needs to be dealt with and he needs to get a grip and shape up. Hope Sessegnon gets a chance at least.

Only way it's overturned is if they accept that Rudiger cheated, seeing as he went down clutching his stomach despite Son pretty much just stroking his flank with his instep.

And I don't see that happening after Rudiger's racism claim.

If the ref’s report says he thought it was a foul the other way and no red card then that might save him. I’m glad we’ve appealed it. We should do.

Appealed?‍♂️

Jesus, Spurs. This is just egregious. It’s a clear red card and 3 match ban.

How the fuck did we lose BC and keep you? You are absolute poison.

It was clear after they replayed it 100 times - so not clear at all. That's the argument. And played in real time it was really fuck all.

Aren't we too nice as it is? I'm relieved to see some petulance and testosterone because we were in danger of finishing the season with a squad full of bitch tits. All we need to do now is be angry AND stop being shit.

The nice guy thing is dead in the water now. Experienced international behaving like a kid, embarrassing.

Ban can be doubled!

The Athletic writers really do seem to paint everything involving us in a negative light.

Yeah that won't happen. Although it was a red card and Son's an idiot, a 3 match ban is excessive/harsh, so no way they would increase it to 6.

Yeah thats only going to be if a player right hooked an opponent and then appealed...we'll play heavily on the play-acting aspect of Rudiger's reaction I imagine, it won't be successful but its clearly a tactical move to appeal in the first place.
