I mentioned this a couple of week ago and was told it was just an coincident that Son doesn't play as well when Kane's around...but seeing Son again step up when Kane's out it certainly can't be a coincident. Recently, Son looks a different player when Kane's gone. In his first 2 season Son looked hapless as a CF and few, if any - including me - thought he could cut it as a CF but now he's a world class CF.
Pochettino really has to sit down and look into how to get the very best out of both Son and Kane when they play together.
And he certainly haven't gotten less popular in South Korea and in South Asia lately

No idea where the Harry Kane - Player Watch thread has gone but he now has 144 league goals which is the same as RVP in 71 games less

12= on the all time Prem list

Brilliant H - If only your teammates could set you up as well as you set them up!

Joint 19th on our all time goalscoring chart

Joins Mark Falco on 89 goals and it’s only taken him 15 games more (232)

What a fantastic buy Sonny has been

An Arsenal scout has revealed he was sent to watch Tottenham forward Son Heung-min 30 times last season while he was still with Bayer Leverkusen.

The South Korean international has impressed since moving to Spurs this summer, and the Gunners employee told The Secret Footballer about his frustration surrounding the deal.

Asked why the move never came to anything, the scout said: ‘It’s Arsene Wenger. He’s so indecisive it’s frightening.’

Arsenal had a quiet summer in the transfer market, only bringing in goalkeeper Petr Cech from Chelsea

And yet they signed some absolute shite. They haven't had a quality CB since Vermaelen IMO and that's probably about 10 players.

Saw a headline on ESPN this morning that read "Son Heung-Min joins illustrious club" and I panicked.

I was like "Who did we transfer him to?" :cautious:

Son is so much more effective when he plays as a striker
Except when he gets no service - imagine how yesterday would have gone if Kane had been absent and Son upfront. This highlights why Poch opted to play Son upfront ahead of Llorente/Janssen (and rejected realistic CF signings) and why creative depth is as essential as as back-up striker.

Was always going to happen unfortunately due to this schedule.

Players aren't machines.
