This is a harsh truth that I’ve been coming to this season, especially as Son has had more of those inexplicable matches when he has no first touch and barely gets involved (yesterday). He’s still an exceptional forward but will not have his pace forever and isn’t the most consistent.

On the other hand, if we got £65m for him who’s to say that won’t go directly to young talents at LW like.. the £65m combined for Bergwijn and Sessegnon. Not trusting your scouting is a really shit position to be in for a rebuild, that’s for sure.

yeah, our scouting network is a concern but we're going to have to replace son at some point and I'd rather we had say 65m to do it with than without. if we could get someone like neto then we should do it. we need to rebuild and get younger, it may mean a tough couple of years but we're going to have that anyway if kane goes.

we need to be looking at building our next team, the poch-era squad are done. I'd use this as an opportunity to get better in the long-term rather than wasting it on a futile attempt at hanging on to what we have now. bring in some more exciting young players and give the new coach something to build with.

Selling our two best players (by miles) in the same window would be insane.

Regarding losing pace as it keeps coming up, Son is about one of the best conditioned players you will see - Vardy is still quick at 34 and drinks skittles vodka for breakfast so there's no real reason he can't still be rapid for another 5 years at least.

I absolutely want him to stay but Out of interest where do people think he’d actually go, he’s 29 in 2 months, can’t see him moving to a Prem team and the fee we’d want 70/80m would rule most foreign clubs out?

Kagawa / ji sung park / Okazaki / Youngpyo Lee and many others I can't remember their names of.
I don't know what happened to them but for some unknown reasons, their prime years didn't last very long. That's what I'm most afraid about these Asian players.

Liverpool may need to replace Mane and Salah is rumoured to be unhappy as well.

The pain we’re in for if Son’s sold this summer too. If Kane’s gone, I can’t see Sonny signing and unlike Kane he only has 2 years left on his deal.

I have a sneaky feeling Son has already signed his new deal and the club is waiting to announce it to help sugar coat bad news as and when it happens
