Totally agree. Bissouma is my bet
I feel people might be overthinking this. Guys like Bissouma and Maddison have leadership qualities that will come across on the pitch whether they have the physical armband on or not. If Son is a quieter captain then there is even more space for that to happen.

Ok. So. With the H news, all we do is increase the chance of the Sons all playing together.

Maddison
Richarlison.
Son.

I have nothing else. Thanks for your time.

There are different ways to be captain. Not everyone needs to be a Roy Keane or John Terry type.
No they don't but they do need to be able to drive the team on when they aren't performing and be able to dress people down. We've had 10 years of Mr nice guy, we need a Terry or a Keane now to drive this bunch on.

Hope we announce dier out soon, last of that group that failed us so badly since poch left

Bissouma as vice captain is more appealing to me. Allow him to develop in to it and in a season or two take on the more senior role to succeed Son.
Yea agree with this.

I've been thinking about this and Son for captain for now is a no-brainer.

The VC decision will be interesting and I'd like to see it given to Bissouma but as you say give it to Sonny who is Spurs through and through and is captain of his country and then maybe next season or the one after as Son slowly fades out the team then give it to Bissouma or someone else but as for now Ange won't overthink it.

Of our best XI when all fit Son is the obvious choice:

Vicario - no, too soon and don't like GK's as captains

Royal - possibly as VC but not a nailed starter
Romero - not captain material, too rash etc
VDV - too soon
Udogie - too young and too soon

Bissouma - yes for vice-captain
Bentancur - also yes for vice-captain
Maddison - possibly too new to club but again yes for vice captain

Kulu - no
Richy - no
Sonny - yes for captain for now.

Son for captain is a no-brainer, the big Q is who will be the VC.

Just need to sign a few Icelandic players for the women's team so we can recreate the Aussie programme Sons and Dóttir's for Ange

Messi is a shy guy and everyone loves him as captain. I think people put too much stock into screaming, yelling and getting angry. I want my CB and GK to have this kind of command, but the main thing the captain needs is respect, and I think Sonny has that within the squad.

He is a nice guy, and by all accounts he works extremely hard, and was playing injured, so it shows how much the team means to him

I don't disagree with that. I just kind of feel that he shouldn't, on the basis of his form for the last 12 months, be an automatic first choice.

You kind of want your captain to be one of the first names on the team sheet.

I think you make good points though

Why in the name of Zeus's beard is this thread in the transfer section? Have I completely missed something?

He's too nice to be captain material and form is on the decline. Give it to someone that has more aggression and time left at the club.

Odegaard?

He's Arsenal captain and not exactly the Roy Keane aggressive type.

I'd rather have a captain who leads by example - Sonny would do exactly that
