Trouble is there’s two international games coming up after this, he needs to personally manage himself there too.
I really hope we can come to some agreement with South Korea to let Son rest over those two fixtures. Yes, he is an icon over there and he is of the mentality that he doesn't want to let his teammates or fans down, but we are talking about two friendlies here.

He had a poor last season by his standards due to playing in pain and discomfort. In the last few weeks he's been seen heavily bandaged after a Korea game (another friendly) and he has now had to come off early in two massive top 6 games for us.

The last time the Asian Cup was held, we came to an agreement that he would miss the first two Asia Cup games as a compromise for allowing him to leave mid season.
That won't be applicable this season as the PL winter break starts around the same time as the tournament starts.

Spurs can at the same time agree to let Son rest against Luton (or start from the bench), and we can give him a three week rest for the benefit of both club and country.

Looking through stats and results from September,
I struggle to see anyone that can compete with Son for Player of the Month.

Has there been any update on his injury?

I think Luton will be a tough game, we will definitely miss Son if he is out.

Just really hoping he does not worsen any injury on the international break.

Not that I have seen reported. Couple of videos of him icing his thigh when subbed off in the Liverpool game he did look uncomfortable. If it is still annoying him this week I would say he will be rested for the Luton game.

He pulled up and grabbed his thigh and immediately started limping in the scouse game. I'd be amazed if he's not out for a few weeks.

Went off early last week too, which is a concern.
I don't know.

Sonny expended a lot of energy early. Closed down a lot, at pace. And supposedly carrying a little niggle.

I think the plan is probably always going to involve subbing him. Given his age and importance - it's probably better to get 75 minutes from him for nearly every match, than it is for him to play 90 more often, but then miss the odd game. More minutes means more opportunity for muscles to be fatigued, and then injured.
I think it's worth noting that Kyogo only completed 90 mins 4 times in 50 apps last season under Ange. He was most commonly subbed somewhere between 65 and 75 mins, in fact he only played more than 75 mins 14 times in all comps. Son has completed 90 mins twice, both times when he started at LW. Richarlison has only completed 90 mins twice and one of those he started at LW

I think it is just what Ange does to make sure his striker doesn't get worn out and/or so the striker position can go full tit for the entire game.

All games are potentially tough, but in context of the entire season if we're overly concerned about playing Luton then we should probably give up on our CL hopes right now. They might be tough to break down, but this game should be one that we have confidence going into that we can win, with or without Son.

Doesn't look like he's trained at all this week so it could be like last week when he joins in training on Friday to see how he is.

Would be strange to post this today, if he’s injured.

I'd like to know what injury he is managing.

He had his long-term groin I think it was issue sorted this summer, is it just fatigue and a few tight parts here or there since he got back from the last IB so we are just managing him and Maddison to not overload them or is it something a bit more serious which could get worse.

As you say strange to post this if he is actually carrying an injury.
