Not sure whether to be happy about no playing time or worried that he is in worse shape this national break compared to last.

Son not playing is definitely a good thing for us considering the groin problem he's been playing though, and he won't in any way suffer fitness wise if he wasn't to play in these two weeks.

Son not playing is either because they've rightly come to the conclusion not to play him while carrying a knock like they did in the last international break, or he is in a worse state than he was then (which definitely is not a good thing for us).

Comparing the last two starting 11s, he is the only one left out that didn't play last time, which again, could mean either of two things.

I was gonna say it's good he got rested, but then I checked who they played, Tunisa, currently ranks 30 in the world, while Korea sits at 28.

Goals were scored on 55, 57, 66 (OG) and 90+1 mins (Korea won 4-0).

I think if not for the consecutive goals at 55 and 57 minutes, Sonny would probably came on - if he's fit enough that is. If he's fit enough, big restrain from Klinsmann to keep him on the bench for the first 54 mins, considering the strength of the opponent, even it's just a friendly.

They have a qualifier as well I think? Prolly just wanting him 100% for that game.

They have another friendly, against Vietnam.
Ah right. Cheers. Well then, hopefully the SK medical staff have advised that unless absolutely necessary, limit the minutes, and Jürgen agreed.

Bit worrying though. Thought it had been taken care of over the summer.

Sonny starts for South Korea at Midday. He’s got almost a week until we play Fulham so if he comes through unscathed he should be close to full fitness on Monday.

he seems to be wincing/limping in pain coming off early every game, club and country per todays reports. Not sure we can consider him "full fitness" because he's had 6 days without a match.
