We need to review both the medical team and sport science team. But the board refusing to invest in depth doesnt help either. Imbecile's. The whole lot. Disgraceful. It's about minimising your chances of it happening. We need adequate squad depth and a review of the medical team in the summer. This cannot keep happening.
& his ankle, don't forget his ankle, what a putz!We need to review both the medical team and sport science team. But the board refusing to invest in depth doesnt help either. Imbecile's. The whole lot. Disgraceful.
Anyone blaming the medical staff is unfounded. This is complete bad luck... Mourinho will have to us the squad and imo coach a bit more other than manage on tactics alone.
He came off Wednesday feeling like he was about to be hurt. Allowing him to start on Saturday is incompetence. He was being played into the ground. These guys arent robots. Allowing them to keep playing without much rest is a failure of the medical department. All these injuries racking up, how can we not question it?Anyone blaming the medical staff is unfounded. I suspect thats more down to mourinho. Im sure everyone knows we are pushing our luck.He came off Wednesday feeling like he was about to be hurt. Allowing him to start on Saturday is incompetence. I am not burying my head in the sand.Certainly unfounded blaming the medical team but to say its down to bad luck is burying head in the sand. Some of us were on here talking about how badly he has been overplayed and run into the ground on friday and then he starts yet again on saturday.

Players suffer from injuries it is part and parcel of the game. I'm pretty sure you'd be hard pressed to find any player 100% fit the majority are playing with all sort of strains and pulls.
The medical team will have all sorts of information about ever single player and for people to blame the medical imo is unfounded. Why not the training methods or team tactics.
I agree that blaming the medical staff doesnt tell the whole story and in my view it is the outcome of neglecting the rebuild and strengthening of the squad. However I dont really believe that this is just unlucky and I bet the medical staff are advising our management team but we are being forced to play them even not 100% fit
It certainly needs a post season review internally to strengthen that department. Players will always get injured but there are injuries then there is this....
Liverscum have also players a fair number of games this season but theyre not getting injuries - thats not luck.
I've seen that firsthand. I worked a 2 MLS teams on the sports science setups and this is unfortunately a way of life.
Tottenham Physios/Medical Staff/ Athletic Improvements
Been seeing quite a few comments about the incompetency of the Tottenham medical staff and wanted to clarify a few things before they become the new scapegoat for why players are always out injured and blamed for any future failures. Why are our players always hurt? Several possible reasons...www.spurscommunity.co.uk
Managers rushing players back- I actually heard a quite a few managers say that " i'd rather have a 50% John Smith playing rather than him missing the game" without truly understanding the consequences of rushing an injured player back. With the stakes being incredibly high in the league and managers wanting their best players available to help win games, this becomes a prevalent issue. Unfortunately, this can be damaging to the player on a two levels. First, physically because the likely hood of injury is increased. Secondly, mentally because if a manager is personally nudging a player to play who isn't fit, the player might feel that failing to do so will affect any future starts or minutes on the field or worse lose the managers faith in him. All of which lead invariably back to more time on the physio table.
