Can we make him train on his own and get him to do shuttle runs / bleep tests every day, so that one of these other clubs seem more appealing? Manage him out so to speak. 🤷

Yeah you’d think we’d have him cleaning the bogs with a toothbrush or something.

Loan him and pay the difference in wages, else we're just falling into the sunk cost fallacy. Reminds me of an exchange from the movie Moneyball: (call me a yank all you want)

Billy Beane: Oh, you're special?

David Justice: You're paying me 7 million bucks a year, man. ... So yeah, maybe I am a little bit.

Billy Beane: Nahhhh, man. I ain't paying you seven. Yankees are paying half your salary. That's what the New York Yankees think of you. They're paying you 3.5 million dollars to play against them.

Absolute waste of talent, watching likes of Mount and Havertz bumble around with a fraction of his talent makes me want to scream.

Don't see why we should give him £20 million without having to turn up to training etc. We don't really gain anything, only he would.
It's a tough call. On one hand, I agree that it's a rather crazy that we'd basically give him 20M to leave. But at the same time, what's the point in having him around? It takes up a valuable space in the squad that could be used on a player that can actually contribute. At the moment, no team wants him... Or, I should say, they don't want to cover his salary. It was a terrible decision that we can either continue to limp along with, or just rip off the band-aid.

I honestly have no idea what would be the right decision. All I do know is that his professional mentality is lacking. He doesn't seem to feel any obligation to push himself, based on what he's making in return, which says all you need to know about his character. Scouting on this guy was also a bit weird. You'd think that his character traits would have been identified as a part of the evaluation process. There were red flags, but they were ignored.

Sadly, he will go down as one of the worst purchases in the history of Tottenham Hotspur. And what really gets my goat, is that he doesn't seem to give a shit. If he does, he has a weird way of showing it!!

I can only say he's one fuxking smart bugger to have played well the only time at Lyon and earned himself a luxurious contract after that.

Didn't one of the ITK say the other day that Daniel isn't keen to do business with their league?
Would be surprised if that were true: that the questionably morality of the situation got in the way of making a handsome profit.

He would be making a one man stand. I'm not a Levy criticiser, nor a supporter as such. But no one would blame him for letting the Saudis dig him out of a Ndombele shaped hole, so I'd be surprised if that were true

It sounds like he has checked out, especially if the Forest option is serious. Possibly only wants a return to France.

He definitely has to go down as one of our worse signings in recent memory. What a waste.
Tremazzani surely matches this signing??

You have to take into money when considering worst signings.
He only cost about £1m, even in the late 90’s that wasn’t significant.

You could reel off a massive list of players ‘worse’ than Ndombele but given his fee and wages, I’m struggling to think of a worse signing.

I’d do shuttle runs and bleep tests for 200k a week. No chance he will leave for anything less.
