If the HLN guy is saying TA is coming to Spurs that is likely based on first hand information, the guy is well linked with the UK based Belgians. Makes me more confident than ever. If he is set on Spurs this will get done. Might get a little messy but will be sorted IMO.

Interesting reading Saints board - they think Atletico is/was skint, and did not have the money to pay the buyout clause until Spurs came in with their offer.

I wonder if we had to loan them some money prior to the transfer being completed to pay off the buyout, to allow AM to complete the sale.

the legal issue is between AM and Saints. He is an AM registered player and they can transfer him to us. Saints will have to sort out the recriminations with AM. I am pretty sure he is wanting Spurs and at the end of the day you cant force a player to go where he does not want to. Otherwise we would have been rid of Ade, Kaboul etc a long time ago.
