Brighton fans very positive about him in general and pleased he's coming to us of all teams:

- Reasonable deal in my opinion. One year left on his contract, player keen to move on, we have good replacements, and it wasn’t bloody Villa.

- Thing is though, Biss is a £50m talent. At least he hasn't gone to mid table mediocrity like Villa or the Saudis. If £25m is true that is a bloody STEAL for Tottenham.

- 1 year left and the transfer pendulum swung. That said we got a record PL finish with some fine performances from Biss this season with a transition to new capable players firmly laid down. Still, that’s a bargain for Spurs, he’s a great fit for them.

- If it happens bentancur. Hojberg, Skipp, Biss - which the potential of Christian coming back it would be a good midfield.
Not forgetting the generational talent, Harry Winks

- Bissouma being off was the one I had already long accepted - just thankful it's looking like being a Champions League club under a world class manager and not a Villa or Newcastle, which would've been a crying shame. A fee in the region of £30m feels realistic given the contract situation, although I'm sure we'd all love £50m.

Oh I agree, however in this particular instance, it seems he has heard something that he's not allowed to mention on air just yet

always got the impression that jordan and levy are quite tight so it's possible he knows more than he lets on. jordan digs him out a fair bit but it's obvious he greatly respects him.

Delighted with this, we will be a nightmare to play against next season with him added to our midfield options.

loving his mobility. makes us defensively much stronger too outside of the obvious benefit to options further up the pitch. dovetails with any of the other midfield options perfectly.

will be a truly great signing if/when it happens.

Great bit of business.
My mate (who is also a Spurs fan) said that when Simon Jordan was talking about this on Talksport earlier, he also let slip that we had signed someone else and they quickly shut him down from saying any more. Did anyone else catch that bit? If true...Eriksen?
He just confirmed he meant Spence

Really like those Brighton fans, always seem like a reasonable lot
Honestly never seen a fan base be as positive about us signing one of their players. No bitterness towards Bissouma whatsoever - they all think he's incredible but accept that the move makes sense - but are also genuinely happy he's coming to us rather than making a sideways move to Villa, Newcastle, etc.

Usually they're in either the denial or anger stage at this point and they're saying how the player "isn't that good anyway" or waving their fist at the sky shouting "Fuck off Spuds!" etc.

A great bonus that he will not be playing in the World Cup (plays for Mali) with both Bentancur and Hojbjerg being key players for their sides.

Have wanted him at spurs for a while now , so a great signing, must be some bed wetting going on in the gooners pages, they were full sure they were getting him ?

This would be yet another fantastic bit of business at the reported price.

Can't deny my excitement at how this window is progressing, especially given it's so early doors.

Really pleasing to see that we are identifying and going after exactly what we need as opposed to what seemed more of a scatter gun approach at times in the past.

More than happy if this comes off.

A proper box to box midfielder is what this team has been crying out for for years.

If we sign him, he’ll be as important to us and Kante was in Conte’s Chelsea team.

Already seen fans bemoaning the extension of Elneny's contract over trying to sign Bissouma.

There are a lot of Brighton fans where I live in Sussex and to be honest, they're probably some of the most decent fans out there.
There's still a local, family feel to the club and it's reflected by the fans.
They still appreciate how far they've come from what they were and seem to have a balanced, sensible view of things. Which is pretty rare in the Prem nowadays.

I might be a massive racist but he reminds of Kante quite a bit - Defensively elite and progresses the ball by moving with it rather than passing it up field after winning it.

I can't think of many better signings we could make than this.
