Yeah I’d assume training.

not to make this a COVID thread but I can completely see him picking up a knock after having it, obviously everyone affected differently but your body and overall constitution is just way weaker after having it.

Disagree, if Winks goes down holding his knee then that scuppers a potential transfer.

And we NEED that money way more than we need Winks playing a throwaway game in August.

Wrap the lad in bubblewrap. He won't even complain either, he's so afraid of contact he'll think we're doing him a favour.

Agree we need to wrap any players we're trying to shift in cotton wool, but I doubt Pep or Klopp view any league matches as throwaway games. That's the sort of mentality we need to have as well if we want to be regarded as genuine contenders.

Yeah I can see us sticking to the same team in the early games maybe with the exception of Perisic
If Bissouma can adapt to the system quickly he will be a starter soon though. Once the schedule picks up in this compact season I'm sure Conte will start to rotate. We could do with them both back (Skipp and Bissouma) for the end of the month really when the West Ham game comes in midweek.

He would prefer Winks to GLC and Tanguy, and possibly Sarr because of his age. So as it stands we are an injury away from Winks playing.

Think lenglet and perisic will be the 2. Especially with Davies pre season being disrupted

We haven’t signed 6 players just so we can end up playing the same 11 that Conte moaned about on multiple occasions last season. Perisic is definitely a first choice player once fully fit (if not sooner), same with bissouma. Would also be surprised not to see Lenglet in the starting 11 soon enough. Spence will be in once conte’s frustrated enough that we still can’t create chances from the right hand side.

If Conte had any intention to bring him in he would have included him in pre-season. I can see Sarr coming in if it comes to it, at least he has been involved with pre-season. No point leaving Winks out and having him for sale if we feel we need him at any point , it kind of defeats the point.

Gil might find a spot on the bench with Richarlison suspended . Our forward options will be very limited . With Kane son and kulu likely to start . I can see our bench of 9 looking pretty defensive
