Poch was given the opportunity to give me my favourite years as a Spurs fan. Conte should be allowed the opportunity to do the same.

I'd hope for another year or two of Conte and then Poch returns. I can't see Conte staying anywhere for long.

Poch is my favourite ever spurs manager so emotionally ill always back him but talk of changing managers is missing the point.

Unless those above change then its pointless.

THIS! this is what conte needs to do, stop picking the under performing players and dip into our youth academy. mix of hungry players & senior pros hugo/romero/dier/sonny/kane think we'd start seei g positive results again. alas conte wont play youth!
But Poch didn’t do that. He played them in the first season and then sold them.

He didn’t play youth players ahead of them.

My prediction: Club agrees mutual termination with Conte at the end of the season. Pochettino is sacked by PSG. We get Pochettino and sack him before the end of the next season.

Edit: Oh and Paratici leaves shortly after the summer transfer window because Pochettino doesn't want a DoF.

2nd half of first season he sacked them off and we went from kaboul, capoue, ade to dier, mason/bentaleb, Kane

Purely on football terms I much prefer Poch’s style to Conte’s. I have never liked defensive rigid football, I find it boring to watch and tactically limited. That being said, getting rid of Conte or allowing a situation in which Conte choses to leave would be simply unacceptable at the moment. Conte has to be given the budget and players to build his team. Anything else would make this club even more of a farce then it already is.

Also hypothetically IF Conte left I would much rather go for Ten Hag then Poch. I love Poch and would like him to come back at some point, but I feel he still needs more time before coming back and when he does I feel it might be better if there aren’t any of his old team here.

Yes he did. He persisted with the incumbent first team until October/November. In the meantime he was playing Kane/Mason/Bentaleb etc in the cups. All three proved themselves, and Poch started starting them in the league. Adebayor and Kaboul led a changing room protest against it, and Poch promptly told them to fuck off.

Adebayor was put on gardening leave, Kaboul was ditched in the January, Lennon went to Everton I think.

From the minute Mason scored that belter against Forest, it changed. I remember it very well, as I was going to every game I could that season, after refusing to attend any game under Sherwood.

If Conte’s targets aren’t met by the time pre-season starts, we may see a return of Poch!
That scenario wouldn’t surprise me one bit with Levy

Oh for f.....

Really?

We've had less than 6 months of Conte, who hasn't had time to build a team with Paratici yet.

Give it some time. I'd love Poch back one day but the fact is there are players who will get yet another opportunity to stay at the club if he was to return soon (Sanchez, Winks, Ndombele, GLC for starters).

We need the clear out and refresh now more than we ever have. We need the squad build to be good. Let Conte build the machine, win stuff and Poch come back and maintain the machine.

The green shoots are there, we've seen it in performances vs Liverpool, City.

Every man and his dog, wife and kids is demanding and begging for Conte to be back by Levy. And here we have some asking for the opposite and to ditch him to favour of a romantic reunion.

I think we missed a trick not going for Ten Hag purely cos Conte is a 2 season manager and this season has been a complete waste of time so at best we have next season with Conte . Poch is 5 years down the line, now is far too early to have him back . If I had to make a prediction I’d imagine we go for Hassenhuttell ( sorry if spelling is wrong ) next , whether that be this summer or the following summer .

Hopefully, at the least Conte helps rock the boat a bit and improves results and the squad ready for the next manager/head coach.

I love Poch and would love him to return one day,

But at the moment we have Conte and that should be the focus, I like Conte, I'm enjoying the patterns of play we are seeing developing and his passion and he should be given time.

The one area I'm not such a fan as others have pointed out is sitting back against 'inferior' teams. When playing the likes of Boro I would have rather we played on the front foot rather than giving them the incentive and with that growing confidence.

However it's too early to judge at the moment and he is really hindered by having a gaping hole in our midfield. I expect that when this is sorted we'll see a difference with more turn overs leading to a more attacking style.

Now isn't the time to talk about another manager, it's time to back the great manager we have.

One day Poch will be back, but that day isn't for talking about now.

Interesting how some people find Conte’s style of football boring. I’ve actually enjoyed what I’ve seen of it when it works. I find it quite exciting. I couldn’t say the same about Nuno or Mourinho’s football, even when we were winning.

I also actually think a lot of Poch’s football was pretty average after we moved to Wembley. We seemed to change style from a high press to a slower possession based game. There were lots of great moments still but I think Poch’s defining style was the football we played in his second and third seasons at the club.

I mean he definitely did pick younger players ahead of troublesome first teamers, if only for a season, until he moulded the squad into his own. im not saying i want poch back cos i dont, im just saying i struggle to see why conte is persisting with the same players who are constantly letting him down, whilst we have one of the strongest academies in the country with players chomping at the bit, this season is now a right off i think, what harm could it do? we may find another harry kane who comes in and is undroppable.

it might help a little bit if he could be a little bit positive in both his outlook and style of play going to M'boro and being outplayed because you want to sit back and play on the break is frankly embarrassing
