Lots of rumours that Kane wants mourinho to stay.

I'm making a massive leap here but would you therefore keep mourinho if it meant Kane would stay this summer?

It isn't clear cut as this but imagine you were levy and you had the situation of Kane and mourinho staying or both leaving.

Interested to see what people would vote.

For me it's a talented group of attacking players that mourinho isn't making the most of but if Kane goes our attack will fall apart. So despite having to see the dire football at the stadium (and results currently) I'd keep mourinho if it meant Kane would leave if he was sacked

"For" = "Fire" mourinho on the poll. Mods would be grateful if you could change as can't seem to edit.

I think Kane will be here next season regardless of the manager situation. And no, I don't believe that any new manager without Kane can do great things here under the current owners... With Kane in the team there is always a chance.

Get rid of Jose. He's always 5 minutes away from a bust up with someone. Or freezing someone out. That negativity in the squad is just a disaster waiting to happen.

Kane isn't the chairman or owner, he's an employee of Tottenham Hotspur and if he says he'll leave if Jose goes then he needs to go for a huge amount of money to reinvest. (I don't for one minute think Kane will do anything like this, the reality is if he wants to go someone has to reach the valuation which I don't think is possible the way the world is right now).

We need a harmonious and happy dressing room with a manager who can get us playing to our potential.

You want to win things you keep your best players. That said I can’t see a scenario where Kane only leaves because of what Mourinho does, he’ll want to go foremost to win trophies, secondly where he will get paid at least double what we pay, whether he’s in love with Mourinho or not is probably his 100th consideration round about whether he can have the same hairstyle as Bale if he goes to Spain...

If Kane wants Jose to stay it’s because he sees him as the best chance to win something. Kane doesn’t want another five year project. He hasn’t got the time left in his career for it. I think he sees Jose as a manager who - despite his obvious decline - is still capable on his day of beating any team even with this average Spurs squad. He’s done it a few times - particularly against City.

It's just far too complicated a situation to be able to answer and relies on the idea that there is only one factor of any significance - the presence of the manager.

I think his services need to be dispensed with, because it's clear there is now too much dysfunction, for which he's not wholly, or even primarily responsible for in my view

But getting rid of him will not solve other problems that will have a bearing on what Kane wants to do with his career.

Let's say we sack Mourinho and bring in Manager A, who Kane finds he can work with well, but the problems with the playing squad require two seasons to fix, during which time we would experience serious inconsistencies in form, damaging our league position and preventing us from winning any other trophy. What does H do?

Let's say we sack Mourinho and bring in Manager B, who somehow manages to get a real tune out of the squad, but who misuses Kane. What does H do then?

It's not a binary situation, unfortunately. If it were simple, it would have been solved by now. That's the real shitter.

This is the thing that it tends to be the world-class players that are supporting Jose, and the underachievers don't like him. He seems to be saying now he just needs more world-class players but I'm not sure we can arrange that.

Option three: Keep Kane & Mourinho & get rid of under-performing, whingeing, deadwood players like Dier, Winks, Sissoko, Aurier, Sanchez et al

Why do people always go on about a '5 year project'? It doesn't have to take years when we have Kane, Son, Hojbjerg, Ndombele, LoCelso, Reguillon etc.. We need to make a handful of very good signings and we could be right up in the mix almost straight away. Get rid of Mourinho and get Nagelsmann in see what he can do with our squad.

Kane is a fantastic footballer, and Spurs through and through, but neither of those things imply he’s not an idiot. In fact...

All things come to an end. Right now, if I had to choose between those two options, instead of the cop out of inventing a third, and assuming we’d get a fucking huge sum for Harry, I’d say goodbye to both, and move on.

He's not but if he gives his support for jose and we get rid then kane might say hes pissed off and demand to leave. If we can't win anything under a serial winner then why would our top players stay.

Kane stays regardless. Can't see who will (or can) pay £175m for him, and he might not actually want to go. I know that fans seem to conflate football players into one homogeneous entity where one size fits all, but different players want different things. Not every player wants team honours above all else. Breaking Shearers record might be top of his list. Breaking Greaves record might be. Being a one club legend might be.
