Deki is a worry, yes early days, but it was last season's Deki today...not the season before.

Relying on him too much this season might be unwise imo.

Far too early. I think once he gets comfortable he’s going to flourish in this system. I didn’t think he was fantastic, but I didn’t think he was terrible, either. Nothing to be alarmed about, at least.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel like they're starting to come round from a four year coma?
I’ve been on a few different sites and on Twitter and this game seems to have inspired a lot of excitement amongst Spurs fans generally. It’s all down to the refreshing attacking style brought in by the manager. It wouldn’t be over the top to say many Spurs sites would have been in meltdown after losing to West Ham if the game had been even and played in a boring fashion.

Hope we can get Lo Celso to stay. A midfield of Biss, Celso and Maddison is top class. Seems like Gio wants to go .
people forget that but for a bad hamstring injury before the World Cup he was first choice for Argentina.
Sarr looks pretty good when he plays. With everyone fit Skippy is going to struggle to get a game.

This one certainly would've been tbf.

Him and Richarlison are struggling a bit, but both of them are great fits for Postecoglou's style. They just need to catch a few breaks.

Other things to keep in perspective:

- Players that returned from international duty/new signings played a little over 50% of the match today. Considering they had a small amount of practice time that’s incredibly encouraging to me.

- No Son, no Ndombele and obviously Bentancur is still recovering. I do think Ndombele starts over Skipp if he didn’t have the knock, and I think he would have been a little more helpful in establishing control/possession in the first half. Adding Bentancur to that starting midfield? Sheesh.

- The players we thought aren’t good enough didn’t really do anything to change that view.

Agree entirely, you appear to be one of the few on here that I relate to, however no doubt that some will not shout at me for saying that I just feel Romero does not want to be here. Its just vibes that he gives me, and maybe he has said so and that is now changing how we look at new cbs. Maybe totally wrong but sometimes vibes might be more accurate that all the ITK in China, or North London. Didn't see the game but from various comments looks as if the future is brighterf than for some while BUT Rome or successful long term sides are not built in a day. Stay safe COYS
Thanks mate love your sentiment and positive vibes and also hear you about Romero and the sense of feeling that he mabye doesn’t want to be here.

We will see how it all pans out but I’m going to sit back enjoy the ride and let it all unfold and play out how it plays out :)

I know it’s only highlights but how much further forward was he compared to when he last played for us. It seemed like play was going through him yet under Jose he was so much deeper as we focused on the opposition
It was a beautiful volley as well.

Another thing i loved was that the players that can influence the game were finding space all over the final third and not just locked into a LWF or RWF position.

Real fluid interchange (not supposed to be dirty :cautious: ) Even more so the second half as Solomon and Kulu were more fixed into their positions, and the second half fullbacks also covered so much ground, Saar took up some great positions as well, and seemed a lot stronger/quicker on the ball and looked a lot more self assured.
