Even Southampton are up our arses now. I've gone from feeling relatively optimistic to quite concerned. That Sheff Utd performance really highlighted how much work we have to do. The first two games I could see a structure, all blown away by that Sheff Utd game

Lovely goal by Adams. I can't see them keeping a clean sheet, but it makes this game more interesting.

Southampton playing really well. Pressing high and comfortable in possession.
We would be camped on our own 18 yard box

Anyone else seriously annoyed every time they see KWP and thinking that he should be playing for us?

The sheer difference when you see a team like Saints. No real world-beaters in their side even though Ings is on fire, yet they're working hard, pressing and full of energy. So different from us, static, no invention and look like we don't give a fuck.

I seriously hate watching us at the moment. Am bloody watching teams like Newcastle and Saints produce better passages of play than us. Watch us bloody lose to Bournemouth.

Our team is an unlikeable team.

Southampton have had to scramble frantically and ride their luck at times, but overall in that first 45 mins have been very good. The discipline has been excellent - they all go together if they press high, if they're forced to drop deep everyone is in behind the ball. Whatever they're doing is done as a unit with total buy in, and all of them working their bollocks off for each other.

They've really got into City and made life tough, and the goal was a great piece of opportunism and execution.

Hopefully they can keep it going and force City to really up their game.

Really good game.. Haven’t seen much of Southampton this year bar games against us & thought Bednarek played really well against us.. Watching his body shape & positioning really impressed.. He does that elbow to hand in distance to attacker & shoves them off that's someone who wa really well coached as a kid
