That's us since the start of the season bar about 4 games.

Yep. Bar what, Palace at home, Bournemouth at home, Burnley at home and City at home. Maybe I'm missing a few, but the fact still remains that yeah, for the majority of the season we've been at such. I find it so baffling, game after game we see players with the ball not knowing who the fuck to pass it to, barely any movement from players to support those on the ball and this has been happening through 2 managers now.

Our team is an unlikeable team.

It's certainly not very likeable. There's not one element of our play to get behind and feel encouraged by. Even Saints here today, if they lose 3-1 they could at least walk away with positives, things to be encouraged by and of course still things to work on. I thought that may have been the case with us after United and West Ham but Sheffield United told me that not much has actually changed and there's very little to feel happy about after any of our matches.

Maybe it is the players after all? Who knows?

KWP playing well. Shame we didn't develop him properly (in my opinion).

I mean, it's impossible to know to be honest but I do think there are things to fairly suggest that it may just be the players. We've had equally disgusting performances with two good managers now.

Even if they are ultimately worse or worse off, I don't see many other teams in the league as clueless as we are with the ball.

Really happy for Southamptons manager. Not many people come back from a 9-0 loss, I remember how humiliated he was that day. He's done a great job in my opinion and fair play for sticking with him

The players we've purchased seem to lack football intelligence you might say.

Never got a fair chance. And its a shame. Never played as poorly as Serge or Tripps.
I mean he has had less chances to play as badly as those two, but he has had very poor matches.

The thing is he has been given chances but trust. To compare, Tanganga wasn't given more of a chance than KWP, he just took the minutes he was given and impressed. The same is applied to most players which break through. Townsend, Winks, Kane, Mason even Jamie O'hara only became regular players because impressed in the few minutes they were given. Bentaleb is probably the only exception I can think of.

Ideally you'd be giving players a longer stretch out but if you can't trust the player then you won't do that. Doesn't matter what level. KWP is having a really good game and solid against Watford and I'm happy for him. But he was awful against Burnley and was subbed and they ended up playing Ward Prowse again out of position. He's had a few good games for a team who has a serious problem at right back, but he's not killing it. The jury is still out.

Keep this form up though, it will be a good platform for him. At his age I think he should playing for a contract there. If he impresses super well I'm sure we will find a place for him!

We should have got Hassenhutl instead of Mourinho. Southampton haven't been wizards in the market under his watch; he's showing he's a very good coach.

Yep. Sanchez, Sissoko, Moura and Aurier in particular for me. All players who start for us and all players who can't be greatly trusted with the ball at their feet.
You could add the lack of movement and intelligence when not in possession of the ball as well, that'd throw another handful in among them. Very sad indeed.

Saints players literally putting their bodies on the line time and time again here. We desperately need that kind of mentality.

Brave of Southampton not to make subs till this point. KWP and a few others look out on their feet last 5-10 mins, still clinging on though.
