6 points behind Liverpool in space of just 4 days, it's almost funny to think we had title ambitions. (Liverpool have easy games coming up and will pull away further)

Hope we can hold on for top 4, even that is looking difficult with likes of Leicester and Wolves coming up

80% of Spurs' goals come from Kane and Son. Four separate Liverpool players have scored today. All four of those players that scored for Liverpool today have matched Lucas Moura's goal tally in his last 30+ league games and Bergwijn's goal tally in his last 24 matches in all competitions. That's the difference. They have probably a dozen players who can score in any given game. Mourinho starts every match with a front 6 with three of the players probably won't contribute more than a goal or two in an entire season.

Liverpool are clinical but this is 5 years coaching under Klopp, he's got them exactly where he wants them, very impressive. Jose has only been in for just over a year so we have levels to go but the god thing is we are well on course.
Agreed. Confidence plays a huge part too. They know they can overcome any situation, so even if they find themselves behind or are giving the opposition chances they feel that it's no big deal.

This can only be developed over time. More confidence from us on Wednesday and we are scoring those chances (and possibly creating more). First, I imagine Jose wants us to feel like we are very difficult to score against and the team trust each other in this respect, then we can open up a bit more and players can have a bit more of a go.

Ffs if we win our next 3 we will be on level points before they play on the 30th long season

This. Allowing or disallowing fans into the stadium should be practised consistently across the whole Premier League. How is fair some teams can have the crowd while some couldn't.

Unfortunately somethings overrule fairness in a sporting competition, it's bad luck for us, but can't really complain.

In any case, the Palace fans didn't make us play the shittiest defensive tactics possible for most of the second half.

I dont think any grievance is about not beating Liverscum but you dont need five years of coaching to go for it against Palace. I was more annoyed at the Palace result than the Liverscum one (that was more gutting id say because of last minute shit)

Anyways hopefully we look at this and gun for Leicester tomorrow

6 points behind is nonsense, the table doesn't mean anything mid-gameweek. We aren't six points behind unless we lose to Leicester.

What you think we didnt try??

We dominated the game, played progressive football, had all the momentum and was creating chances aplenty.

Then we scored...

and immediately relinquished all momentum and tried to see out the last 70mins on the backfoot.

You know we have a game in hand right?
If we'd played first and won it'd be 'back to top of the table in just 4 days and piling pressure on Liverpool.'
Theres a long way to go and, if you wanna be top of the table, you'd expect to beat Palace. Yes we didnt but then Liverpool didnt beat Fulham either.

Goal difference gone as well. Annoying but we need to learn how to kill games off like they do. They spent a season or two chasing down City and grew into the team they are now. Hopefully we can do the same and be in the position they are in next season.
