I'm taking my eldest son to his first game on Sunday :)

He's only 6, and what makes it all the more sweeter is that we live in the North West, he was born here and my ex wife is a dipper :)

So to manage to get him to this stage is huge for me. He's so excited bless him and I've even been teaching him the songs in preperation!

Maybe see some of you up there...but please, if you see us, remember he is only 6 and keep the language down a bit
;)

I took my eldest daughter who's 7 to the fa cup game against Leicester. Terrible result, but the sense of pride of taking her to her first game will stay with me forever. I'll always remember walking past the stalls of merchandise and she begged me for a little mascot of a monkey wearing a spurs shirt, it was a tenner and i remember begrudging paying for it, although i did haggle the bloke down to a fiver, anyway i made her promise to name it after the first spurs player to score. So now we have a little spurs monkey mascot called Andros.
I hope you have a great day mate ..... COYS !!

Roy Hodgson advises you to change the name of the monkey and whatever you do, don't feed it.

Took my lad to his first away game last season at Stoke (Crouch used to be his favourite player- so he chose to go there!)
He loved it and everything went well, we even won! However the songs were a bit different to the ones he experienced at WHL which led him to ask me "Who is Sol Campbell?" followed by "What's a c**t?". Told him not to sing that song in front of his mother!

Hope you both have a good day and be prepared to cover his ears!

Took the wife to the Partizan Belgrade game earlier in the season while she was heavily pregnant. Can't take any chances, Spurs from before birth.

Nice one Matt I hope you guys have a blast. Remember to bring plenty of crisps sweets and drinks, to help alleviate any moments of boredom, and "is it over yet???"

I took my son to the Sunderland game in January, and although he isn't really into it, he still talks about the game especially Jans goal that wasn't.

Don't you worry Matt, I am gonna take loads of treats for him. He's gonna get bored at some point :)

Good on you mate, have a good one!! Everyone remembers their first game, such a special feeling :)

Took my wife to her first Spurs game a few years back, when we'd been dating for about 6 months.

We drew 1-1 with Wolves in an absolutely dire match. Posted a picture of her on Facebook with the tagline 'Yiddoooooo', which I was promptly told to take down after being informed that her dad's side of the family are Jewish (and not at all into football)...

She didn't particularly care for the fans 'getting over excited and knocking her around' when we scored and remains the only person I've seen ask the half time bar staff for some rose wine (surprisingly, they actually had some!).

We've since agreed that football isn't an 'us' thing...

I keep saying to my missus that I can't wait for the day I get to take a child of mine to their first Spurs game... that they'll have a Spurs baby grower, etc... She sighs and rolls her eyes, "yes love"

She thinks I'm joking :/

Hope you both have a great time. A special thing going to your first game with your dad. Hopefully we will produce the goods on the pitch as well. Enjoy

i am lucky enough to say that I do not remember my first game as i went with my dad and his mates to pretty much every saturday home game when i was young. i still have the 1978 team poster so i guess it would be that season (relegation, lol).

My lad is 6 in april and i am looking forward to taking him next season at some point. I would like to do this with my dad too so as to have 3 generations of us together.

Hope you have a tremendous day. enjoy.
