Where do you prefer to watch the big match? Not just any old game, but important nervy events where there as high risk we could get tonked, but a great reward of joy if we win. NLD, Inter, that sort of thing, assuming you can't get to the game.

I often find myself torn, because I'd rather be on the sofa for losing and pubbing it when we win.

How do you choose your big match venue?

Well i live in Switzerland and Spurs games are only rarely shown in the pubs, so it has to be the sofa.

I'm a boring old sod who lives in Southampton, a town that ain't too fond of our Manager, and therefore us. So sofa it is.

Try living in Portsmouth mate! 10 times worse, Pompey fans are so bitter its unreal...Sofa for me aswell, always find if i'm in a boozer I get distracted, I like watching the build up and that aswell and you don't always get that in the pub.

Only time I've ever watched us in a pub was the 5-2 game against Utd which was full of die hard Utd supporters :roll: Never again.

Looks like all the guys that like to watch their footy down the pub are down the pub watching the footy!

Pubs are great for atmosphere, but you can't beat the view you get in your own living room. Plus the snacks are better at home, and you can pause the game if you need a slash.

i voted for the horny gost -come on, what man in his right mind wouldn't.

It depends on finances. On a Sofa in the Pub is what I would go for.

Watched this down the pub on the 3d, first time watching footy like this. After yesterdays result, I will have to stop going to games and go down the pub!! Usually like watching them at home.

Didn't used to mind watching them at home, but since I moved in with my mate who I disagree with on just about every football issue possible (he thinks Clattenburg got the OT debacle spot-on) I prefer watching the games down the pub as it means I don't have to listen to him greeting every goal scored against us with the words, "and that's fantasy league points".

Prick.

Also, one of the pubs in my old home-town gets a fair few Spurs fans in there so for games like yesterday its a decent atmosphere.

Very intersting that you should have this thread. Ironically yesterday's 2-3 win over Arsenal was the first time I went to a pub alone to watch Spurs. I was spending a weekend by my cousin who does not have Sky Sport! Back home its usually the sofa for me.

I like to watch the game from my couch while molesting the goat....but you didnt ask that, did you, watching it in the pub is far too common for me!

I've watched a few of our games at home, quietly on the sofa, but I seem to get too nervous when on my own. just don't like it. Need an outlet to share my angst with!!

Pub all the way.
